I have gone to this Ulta many many times ever since I was still in middle school (I'm a senior now). That being said, I have seen this place slowly get worse and worse. This isn't a horrible store, but I remember being greeted with genuine smiles and talking to associates that actually cared and really knew what they were doing. Not everyone at this store is bad, but I've just not had great experiences shopping here like I use to. For example, Ulta has a $3.50 off $15 dollar coupon and today when I was checking out, a girl said this would work and when it didn't, she said it was a computer issue and didn't even try to figure out how to fix the problem. It was written all over her face and in her tone she didn't care whether or not the coupon worked for me, but I did care a little. It's a small issue, but makeup can be expensive and if I can save a few dollars, I'd really like to. Also there have been many times when people have no clue where anything is. I understand not knowing where every product is because I work at a store as well, but about 75% of the time if I ask where something is, they say they don't carry it and then I end up finding it later myself. I love makeup and know what I'm doing and I don't work at the store, but at times it seems as if I know more about Ulta and the store than it's own employees. I think this store has potential to be great, it's just not there yet.

I booked a hair appointment for consult/possible hair treatment. They open at 11 on Sunday but the lady told me that she would book me for 10am and assured me that the hair stylist would be there because she had someone else at 11. I show up at 9:50 just to have the same lady how booked my appointment tell me that she forgot to tell the hairstylist I would be there. She just apologized for the miscommunication and told me that she wouldn’t have been able to do any treatment anyway because there was someone else right after me even though this is not what she said a week before when booking my appointment. Horrible customer service. NEVER COMING BACK!

I was in the store on Sunday asking about It Cosmetics. The sweet girl that helped me was fantastic. She not only examined the product and put it on me. She was wonderful. Thank you so much. I wish I had her name. I will go back and get more products.

I have never been to such horrible experience in my life. I called the salon last Friday 5/16/2018 to book an appointment for me and my daughters and she said okay and she took all my contact information. Then I asked if they have private rooms since I am wearing hijab and don’t want to take it off in an open area where men can be around , and she said no it is an open area at the back of the store. I said then I will cancel my appointment and will only bring my daughters. Then she said okay see you at 2:30. I arrived on time the lady at the cashier was friendly and told me to go straight to the salon at the back. I went there and found the guy in the front desk , not sure if he was the one I called , he immediately said I booked you an appointment in deerfield at 3 o’clock. He said Sorry I just realized that I am a dude and can’t do your hair. I said I have already canceled my appointment since you don’t have private rooms ,I am here for my girls. He said there was miscommunication, I thought the appointment was for you. I said okay just do their hair ,because the salon was empty he doesn’t have any customers . He said but I am a dude I can’t do their hair. I said what’s wrong with being a dude ?! They are still young and I am okay with that. He said I am sorry but I have booked you an appointment in mason. I said it is far from my place and I have gathering at 4. Why don’t you just do it. He said I can’t even finish them by 4. Just go to mason. I said why you didn’t call me? He said I tried to call you but I couldn’t reach you so I decided to wait until you show up. He said sorry again ,but really!! what can I do with his apology. He really ruined our holiday. I told the lady at the cashier and she said I am sorry let me call the manager. I waited for 3-5 minutes then I left when no one showed up. I didn’t want to waste more time because I want my girls to be ready for our gathering in our HOLIDAY.
