I bought a groupon for a shellac manicure, and then read the reviews and was concerned. I almost cancelled my appointment, but went anyway. On the way, I got lost so called the salon. The person who answered was friendly and gave good directions. I did not see any trash, cups etc. lying around. but the service was great and the manicure perfect. The nail specialist did take a phone call (it was late in the day and only one other employee was there) from a customer, but kept working on my nails and did a great job. She was good about explain care of shellac nails. I have 2 more groupons left, I intend to use them and perhaps return again, and I was satisfied with the service.

Very non-professional owner and staff. Had an okay massage, but the room was dirty, carpet filthy as well as the dingy stained sheets and blankets. I accidentally went into the back room on my way to the restroom and entered what I thought was the break room. Dirty dishes piled up a mile high on the table and in the sink. Floor was filthy too. The restroom looked like someone might have taken a swipe at the sink and floor, missing the corners and edge all the way around. I will NEVER BE BACK and if I were you I wouldn't waste my time even booking with them.

Wish I had read these reviews prior to purchasing my Groupon for a Shellac mani/spa pedi. Will not be going back to this place, ever. Once again I am reminded as to why I typically hate getting manicures. I do a much better job myself. This time was no exception. I've never had a shellac manicure before so I didn't really know what to expect. Seriously hated it - spent an hour tearing it all off as soon as I got home and did my own manicure. This nail tech did the worst job too. My nails weren't filed properly, they were left uneven and jagged. The various coats of this polish were thick and goopey and all over my fingers. How is this exceptable? The pedicure was so-so, I've had much better. There was a little bit of polish on a few toes but it wasn't horrible. Nothing seemed organized or very clean either. What a waste of time and money.

I felt my experience at Bamboo could have been better. I received a manicure/pedicure and had my hair cut. The employee was rude and talked about her life most of the time. When she started to work on my fingernails, she didn't bother to shape my nails at all, only buffed them. She said my nails looked good, but every nail for the most part was a different shape. I felt the mani/pedi was rushed. I wasn't offered the little flip-flops so your toe nails don't get messed up. A couple of days after, the polish started to peel off. I would have gone back to have them redone, but I had left on vacation. I only went because I bought a certificate off of Living Social. I won't be returning.

Sounds like its a good thing this place uses Groupon and Living Social, but I wish I would have read this before I bought mine for a mani/pedi/30 min massage. I went with a friend and asked to have our manicure/pedicure @ the same time. When we got there they acted like they had no idea we were coming even though I had called days ahead to book an appt. We were unable to get any of our services together. The only massage therapist is a male although I had requested a female just for higher comfort level. No apology, just told me "well, he's a professional", which I'm sure he is but I would have liked to have been told that when I called? My manicure was mediocre, although she apparently had somewhere to be because she left without even applying top coat. Pedicure was okay, I've had better. Overall, wouldn't go back.
