The reason you're told they're not taking anymore employees is because they can't keep people at this location and, short staffed. Today, i called at 3:15 pm, to schedule an appointment and, spoke to the Manager of the salon. I wanted to get a wash and flat iron. I was told the lady that normally does my hair (Cynthia), had left. I was also told they were booked and, it was busy. I told them i still wanted to get my hair wash and flat ironed. They scheduled me for 4:00 pm. I walked into the salon and, Cynthia was still there doing someones hair. I was on time and, the Manager was there. I sat down and, the Manager cut another man's hair. I said, "there's some lying going on in here. Cynthia walks over and sat on my lap trying to make a joke about it but, it wasn't funny or professional. I have been patient with this unprofessional salon long enough. I see why the last Manager left for a better work environment. When James ( Manager), finished cutting the Man's hair, Cynthia started running her mouth about the situation and, the Manager said, "Oh, i just let it go in one ear and, out the other. I walked over and, told the Manager that he was unprofessional for talking about a customer while they were still here instead of talking to them directly. He tried to act like he didn't know me and, act like he wasn't apart of the drama. Corporate needs to worry about the money and the unprofessionalism. Its time to either close Morse Road Smart style or get new employees.

They claim they're open until 8 but if you're not there by 6 to 6:30 they say that they're not taking more customers. Even if you have a simple cut like mine (10 minutes tops, military cut) The couple of times I have actually got my haircut there. There are two to three stylists just sitting there playing on their phones, not paying attention to the people trying to check in. They could care less... Wouldn't want to interrupt their drama of the day conversations. Or... Most times when I come to the Walmart store to shop. I walk past the salon & nobody seems to be there. The lights are on and it's between business hours. Yet, I've seen more than on several occasions. The Stylist who are "working".... walking around the store, shopping while on the clock or just fraternizing with the other Walmart employees!! Instead of running their shop. Always have the typical attitude like you're bugging them and they can't wait to shoo you out the door. Completely unprofessional and I would be surprised if any of them actually kept their jobs, if corporate would come see how they run their store. I guess what would you expect for Morse Road Walmart.
