I went to my first appointment at Kelly Elaine Inc as a total skeptic. NOT because I doubted their expertise, but because I'd tried another "curly hair" salon, and it didn't work out. I just thought my hair was beyond hope. I hoped that MAYBE my hair would start to look better after a few visits and some time for my hair to 'heal' from how I've been treating it (i.e., curling iron!). So I'm totally KNOCKED OUT that my 'bendy' hair is actually CURLY. I was hoping for *improvement* in how my hair lays, but I did not expect this. And the styling is so much simpler than what I had been doing to style my hair. The entire staff helped with my appointment, and they were very thorough in teaching me how to do it for myself and ensuring I understood everything. Plus, they're a hoot to be around! I'm absolutely THRILLED with my curls!

My girlfriend loves this place. She has very curly hair and they are the only place that had been able to really help her do anything with it. They work magic

Scheduled an appointment months ago for an especially special date on January 31st 2018. Today, Saturday December 23rd 2017 I receive a text message to my cell phone stating my appointment has been cancelled. I reach out for confirmation of this as it seemed highly unprofessional, especially the timing right before the holidays, without any email nor any call what so ever. I receive a reply back from Kelly confirming this cancellation on Facebook, stating she decided she was not the right stylist for me, no reason further a simple refusal of service delivered right before Christmas Eve. I attended Kelly's salon prior, she had no issue scheduling this return appointment months prior. My appointment was for a Deva Cut Shaping & Deep Conditioning Treatment. No extravagant request made, nothing beyond Kelly's capabilities was requested. Beware, Kelly judges without rhyme or reason, she may cancel on you with short notice. Any reasonable stylist is booked out further than a months notice. Kelly obviously needs work on her professionalism & demeanor.

I have been coming here for over two years. I have been to many places that "claim" To cut curly hair. They try to cut it, or they put you with the stylist that has curly hair. Let me tell you from experience- those experiences for me have been horrendous. Now at Kelly Elaine my hair has NEVER looked as amazing, and as healthy as it has here. I have never received as many compliments as I have before here. This team here truly cares about you, your family, and most of all your curls. They make sure before any cutting is done it's what you will want. The style will work best for you, your face structure, and your curls. They are ever so accommodating in everything they do. I have never been to a salon where they care so much about their clients. They have events where they bring in special guests! I am thankful to have Kelly Elaine and team in my life.

My curl history is long and rather dramatic. Nobody had hair like mine. Nobody knew what to do with it. I am convinced that “out of control” hair links to a chaotic mind. I won’t go so far as to suggest that a majority of the clinically insane are sporting curly, cantankerous hair... Years of distress....ironing it, rolling it on rollers so huge - and sleeping on them, curlfree treatments...and the worst...Strangers, telling me to brush my hair! My Mother’s dying words sounded like, Brush You Hair! And then, the miracle! Curly hair became stylish and natural was in. I took the huge step and had my mop cut. I looked even nuttier. I tried another stylist. I looked like Baby Huey and for those too young to remember, that is not a great look...I went to stylist after stylist. To the big ritzy shops where they treat you like they are doing you a favor, to “friends” who said they had the secret. (I don’t speak with them anymore.) So I gave up. I just quit going. I let my hair grow for years, with a pair of manicure scissors for the occasional hack. I looked at my reflection one day and saw that all I needed was a moth eaten sweater and a shopping cart....SO, I went on line. I found Kelly, called and set up an appointment and I am in heaven! From the first call to the finished product, I was treated like an old friend. The shop is one of my favorite places to be (and that is huge, considering a lifetime of comparing salons to root canal). I now LOVE my curls. Kelly is magic. She just knows. She is an absolute piece of work....funny, exacting...and a true artist. Really, she turns taming curls into an art form. Just go there! It is a remarkable place of state-of-the-art hair magic, peopled by incredibly special, real people. Everything about the experience is uplifting. Thank you Ms Kelly! You are an amazingly gifted, image enhancing curl queen and I am a very grateful former frizzy, freaky haired old girl! Sherry Podobnik
