Great haircut every time. Only place I’ll get my flat-top. Sometimes there’s a wait. I don’t know about you but I don’t trust a restaurant or barbershop that isn’t full.

I am taking the time to write this review due to my level of frustration with the level of unprofessionalism and discourteous treatment of customers at this Supercuts location. It is no surprise to me the overwhelming number of 1 star reviews hardworking, busy consumers have taken the time to write. I have observed and endured the lack of concern for the quality of service or the time of their customers. These Supercuts employees have no problem with taking frequent and extended breaks, carrying on lengthy conversations, or displaying an obvious lack of any concern for the length of time they take between cuts. There is an overwhelming sense that they feel that they are doing US a favor even being open. I am hopeful that Supercuts Inc is unaware of the way this location is being managed. What really causes me the most frustration is the negative impact this may have on Supercuts franchise owners that genuinely have respect for their customers and understand the importance of the service industry. I believe that if the records of employee turnover, number of returning customers and earnings wad scutinized at this location, it would be quite clear what level of service is being provided. I believe it is unfortunate that many of us who live in this community cannot utilize this convenient location because of incredibly poor management. Disgraceful is likely a more accurate description.

Wait is very long. The workers lack any type of customer service. With lots of people waiting, one workers just walks outside and casually walks back in and get in the back. Not trying what so ever to get people seen or done.

Stopped in to get my 3 boys haircuts. One person was cutting someone's hair and there were more stylists in the back. The guy up front didn't ask what we needed or stop to get someone to help us. After waiting 10 minutes one of the ladies started to come out from the back, with 6 people in the waiting area, she just continued to chat with who ever was in the back room. At that point we got up and left. They obviously don't care to help their customers.

I went to the Hanbury location on September 17th a little before 5pm. When I walked in, I was greeted by only one person working there then immediately told they were only taking cash. When asked what I wanted done, I said I wanted a light blowout and a trim. She immediately told me "they didn't have time to do my hair" because they were about to close. I was confused because the location wasn't supposed to close for another hour. I told her that and again explained that I just wanted a blowout and trim. The woman replied that because of the amount of time it would take to blowdry and flat iron my hair, they wouldn't be able to take me. I quickly told her that I did not want it flat ironed and that my stylist wouldn't have to wash my hair or anything. She paused and sounded very annoyed when she told me to sign in. When a stylist called me to sit in her chair, she asked me how I was doing and answered honestly, "Well, I feel like a burden." She just laughed. I have very thick natural Black hair that I normally wear "curly," so I was extremely thankful that I washed and conditioned my own hair with a heat protectant because my stylist put absolutely NOTHING (no product) on my hair before blowing it out. While I was there, I noticed the rest of the staff acting unprofessional at times. The male stylist referred to one of his coworkers using the "R" word multiple times. The woman who originally told me they didn't have time to do my hair informed another client (loudly) that there was nothing wrong with the computer system and the only reason they were taking cash only was because "she wanted to walk out with cash in her pocket." I've been to this location a few times over the past few years and though I don't go in ever looking to get a "style" done, I find it interesting that a salon with several Black stylists seems reluctant or honestly opposed to doing Black hair. There were multiple clients who came in and out while I was there (for only 30 minutes in total) and none of them received even a hint of the pushback I did when being helped by the stylists. Ultimately, I walked out of the door having spent over $40 just on a blowout and trim. As I stated before, my stylist did not have to wash, condition, or even detangle my hair nor did she show any effort to protect my hair from the heavy amount of heat being used. I am extremely disappointed and will not be back to that location ever again.
