CATHERINE is an excellent technician and artist. I had desperately needed a good haircut for months but not dared to take a chance after a superbly-blotched job in another city. While in Richmond, I read every review available and finally discovered serious praise for Catherine's skills and dependability. (Wholehearted thanks to all who shared their very, very positive experiences online!) I went to Catherine and found her be all and more than I'd read about. She quickly assessed my needs, shared insightful suggestions on the wisest approaches to my hair (even politely and caringly disagreeing with my original wishes), and both corrected for the previous disaster and sculpted a perfect style for me. She demonstrated herself to be sincere, personable, patient, caring, and professional throughout our time. Though I live a 7-hour drive from Richmond, I will definitely try to fit in another appt with Catherine the next time I travel to RIchmond. I thank her again and wish her the very best!

After reading the reviews, I scheduled a first time appointment with Jennifer. Aside from being a delightful person, she gave me a wonderful cut and styled my hair for a wedding: an act of trust on my part, and she delivered! Thanks so much, Jennifer! I will see you in the future!!!!

The closure of the Innsbrook FS location led me to finding this place and I'm glad I did. Catherine is AWESOME! She is a true professional with decades of experience in the hair industry. I never used to have "a hair lady" but I do now. Love my color. Never had her cut my hair, but when I do she will do it!

I usually take my son somewhere else but I had a coupon so I decided to try somewhere new. Well I forgot my coupon but we went ahead with the cut. My 4 year old does not stop moving, ever. Most places just work around it within reason of course and honestly he wasn't screaming and crying so I thought he was doing great but the stylist kept stopping and telling him he had to hold still like every 2 seconds. I did speak up and try to remind him to be still but it's not that easy. Anyways she ended up getting his ear a little, which has never happened during a haircut but I wasn't angry, he didn't cry but then she tried to blame it on his "uncut fingernails" that rubbed me the wrong way, a simple "I'm so sorry about that" would've been more than enough. Also there were signs everywhere talking about "tipping your stylist" and making sure it was with cash. I get it but seriously so tacky.

Catherine was amazing. She was listening to everything I said and made my hair exactly like how I wanted t to be. They charged me extra for my extra long hair and valpak was not valid but I would definitely be there again for my next cut.
