I just recently moved so my normal salon is now completely out of the way. I've been looking for a new regular spot and I think I've found it. Conveniently located in Stony Point Fashion Park, this little salon owned by a Vietnamese family is professional, clean, and friendly. The older woman who did my pedicure and gel/shellac manicure was excellent. My nails look great and I felt very taken care of. She did talk to the other women in Vietnamese when I wasn't talking to her but that's never bothered me. I was the only customer there on Monday around 6 and she took her time with me. I remember she put a lot of lotion on my legs and she massaged them until every bit of lotion was rubbed in- I wasn't left feeling greasy at all. The pedicure took about 40 minutes and the manicure took about 30. All in all a lovely experience. They had Christian music playing and very cute Christmas decorations put up. They also had a ton of polish colors to choose from! It cost $50 for the whole experience which I thought was very appropriate. I will definitely be returning- their attention to detail was wonderful!

Asked for a 1 inch trim (said numerous times "just a little trim, just 1 inch") but ended up with at least 3 inches cut and lots of short layers. And even worse was the manicure. I have had gel manicures for years. This salon used one of those electric spinning filers to take off the gel polish, and did way too much filing. I should have spoken up and I'm sure sorry I didn't. Not only was the polish on my cuticles, but my nailbeds hurt. The gel polish completely peeled off in a matter of days and I was left with thin weak nails that I have never had previous to this manicure. I am hoping my nails and nail beds will heal.

Despite the fact that I was the only customer on a Saturday afternoon the lady rushed through it. After she was done I had to ask the her to go over specific areas of my nails with a file several times because they looked so terrible. She kept dropping the nail file as if this was her first time working with it. I had nail polish all over my cuticles and my nails chipped the next day. I think I could've done a better job with my eyes closed. To top it all off, I was charged a dollar more than what their website says.

I got an old lady and they messed up my nails, I wish I had gotten a refund at the moment. She was distracted speaking Chinese to her co workers and not focusing on the client. They lack attention to their client and I'm never going there again. The lady kept shaking and wouldn't stop and messed up my nails. She talks to her clients in Chinese because she can't speak English as well.
