Normally Hair Cuttery is great. NOT this time. I walked into the salon and four stylists were sitting looking quite unhappy. I thought it was because it was dead and overlooked it. Turns out I checked into the wrong location but my stylist was able to easily fix it and check me in. I asked for a simple all over color and it seemed like it would be fine. Well....I tried to open conversation with the stylist....never happened...normally at a salon they ask about my hair type and if I need a certain shampoo, NOPE. She did ask if I needed a trim and I said only if I need it. She did my color and left...no time, no “I’ll be right back”, just left. 30 minutes later I finish processing and she takes me to shampoo. Doesn’t ask if I want my hair soft or if it gets really dry, just chooses the shampoo. Then she goes to finish my hair and parts it for me, and when I ask if I need a trim she says “you’re fine.” And I think I’m all set. I go to pay for my services and I had a 50% off coupon because I haven’t gotten my hair colored at a Hair Cuttery before. She processes the coupon but takes on an additional “chemical treatment” for $10. She never told me about this treatment, never asked me if I wanted the treatment, and charged me for it. I didn’t want to cause a seen so I left and now I’ll never be back. Talk about a bait and switch, I’d rather shave my head then return and pay for something I didn’t even ask for.

Not pleased with the service or the quality of my cut. The stylist did not ask me any details about what I wanted, cut my hair dry while it was curled, did not follow the details I had told her about what I wanted, and got upset when I asked her to trim my layers a bit more (like I had already asked. She then told me I was done without washing, when I was paying for a wash and cut. I asked for the wash, she said, “Oh you want it washed?” and then washed without conditioning. She did not even fully towel dry it before having me get up from the chair and go pay. Will not be coming back here.

I have had my haircut here a few times. I always request March. She takes her time and if you tell her what you want she will give you a fantastic haircut.

It's okay if you just want a plain haircut but do not go here if you want any kind of fancy haircut or Style. You get what you pay for. I have gone here many times just to get an affordable haircut but also many times the stylists have cut my hair very unevenly. I have also gotten my hair dyed here and they had to do a correction which took six hours because the first job was so terribly done.

I went in for a bang trim and brought my daughter to have her ends trimmed. They didn't offer her a shampoo and cut her hair dry while it was wavy from French braids, and charged me for a shampoo and cut, despite my protests. My stylist must have skipped cosmetology school as she cut my bangs dry, and I had to ask her afterwards to wet them and to give me a blow dryer and a brush so I could figure out if they were cut evenly. I couldn't tell how bad it was until we got home and I straightened my bangs and they looked HORRIBLE! My daughter took a shower and when I brushed her hair out, the ends were ragged and uneven. Smile back guarantee? Ha, that is a joke! They have two master stylists at this location, and they are great. But please heed my warning: don't let ANYONE else cut your hair here. I filed a complaint online two days ago and still haven't heard anything back from management. This was the worst salon experience I have ever had!!!
