Salon J Hair Studios

This by far is the best Salon in Sidney! I like how they have a large staff who all seem to have their own style and techniques. You can get anything from a roller set for the seniors to a child's cut and even hair extensions. They do it all!

The lady who cut my hair didn't listen to me, did what she wanted and screwed it up. The only good thing about this place is the fact that they offer coffee as you're waiting. Definitely not worth $50 I feel gross even giving it 1 star

Horrible Management. There is lots I could say about my experience with Salon J right from the first meeting (which I should've listened to my intuition), however will keep it somewhat short and give you the main heartache. Went there as a bride with my bridesmaids for our hair trial and did not get what we were looking for. 2 of the stylists were absolutely amazing, Emily and Caryn. They did a fantastic job on 2 of my bridesmaids. Also Anna did great on my makeup. loved what they were able to do. However, During my hair trial with the "Owner" I was continuously told that my hair will look better on my wedding day and that it's not going to look like this. I thought hair trials were the time you get to see what you're going to look like...I ended up looking like a 1990's prom date (which was not even close to what the picture looked like that I gave him). My bridesmaid had to fix my hair after the trial to make it look somewhat decent. So, I requested that the 2 other stylists that did a good job, to do my bridal party (of myself and 4 bridemaids) and was told that that's not how they do things there, but would speak to the "Owner" and see what to do. End of the week, got a call saying ( and I quote) "We aren't going to be able to do your wedding. We can't have clients telling us how to run our salon". I wasn't telling them how to run their salon...was simply requesting that the 2 stylist that were able to bring my vision to fruition that they do my wedding. Considering I'm paying money for this to be done, I didn't think it was too much to ask to be happy with my wedding Hair and makeup. I was 2 months away from my wedding and am now having to figure out what to do. Kinda sucks the way they dealt with it all and I would never recommend anyone go there for wedding styling. The stylists were very friendly, however, the "Manager" and "Owner" were not very professional in the way they dealt with the situation. Unfortunately for them, every one of my bridal consultations that I have been going to, they all ask me about my wedding plans and my hair and make up story comes up, so of course I tell them my story and they have said they will never recommend them. sucks that it had to end this way. There's a few more situations that were not right, but didn't want to bog down this review. All in All, Would NOT recommend this Salon for wedding hair styling!

Anna is absolutely fabulous! Does a great job with my hair. Wonderful with color! Highly recommend her!

Anna Thomas did an amazing job on my hair. I had colored with a warm semi permanent before coming to see Anna for the 1st time and she was able to highlight my hair blond. The blond totally compliments the color I had in my hair already. I was recommended to Anna by a friend and I will definitely see her again. Thanks Anna!!
