I was in yesterday for my bridal trial and from beginning to end, I felt comfortable, welcome and fabulous! Cher and Evan nailed my vision and had me leaving happy and so excited for my big day! Thank you Slate Studio, you guys are the best!

I'm extremely picky when is comes to hairdressers, and I've been to so many in Kingston and outside of Kingston and this place is one of the best. Holly did my eyebrows perfectly and Evan cut and styled my hair exactly how I wanted it (which believe it or not, is rare). Holly has also been extremely helpful in making sure my appointments work with my schedule. The night of my wedding reception she had set up all of my appointments at Slate so I didn't have to worry about a thing!

I got my lashes done a couple weeks ago by the eyelash tech Chelsea. She was great to talk to and the end result was okay but it took 3 hours to get a full set on and only near the end as she was finishing my eyelashes was there any mention of the significant price increase. I only found out because she was telling me about recent incidents where other students were complaining about the ridiculous price increase and how they felt they were only told after the lash job was done, which is exactly what was done to me at that moment. I didnâ€™t know I was going to have to pay an extra $40 until after she was finishing. As a student, I go to slate because there is a good discount and good eyelash techs. With my student discount I used to pay $59.99 including tax and then I add a tip on top of that, but at the end of my most recent appointment I paid $100 and it took a good 3 hours. I am a regular customer and was going to Holly before she left but now Iâ€™m cancelling my future appointments that I already have booked to find a place to do my eyelashes with a better price point and shorter application times. I am really unimpressed with this place and will not be recommending this service to any of my friends.

Slate Studio did my wedding hair and make up on site and were amazing! They are super fun and friendly to work with and everyone looked incredible all night! I would definitely recommend them.
