This is the single greatest place to get a cut in the city. It's a small, independently owned business with 4 people cutting hair. I go to Roxy, who is outstanding. I was a customer before leaving the city for 3 years and one of the places I was most excited to go back to (upon our return) was Angst Hair. I feel like a family member whenever I'm there. It's incredibly welcoming and fun to go in each time. I believe Angst Hair has been in business for 30 years and there isn't one employee who has been there less than 15 years. For a business to retain it's people for between 15 and 27 years says a lot about the owner of that business and the business itself, and that's the kind of place I want to support and be proud to say "I go there." The best. End of story.

Angst is the best salon I have ever been to. You can be certain you will have the greatest haircut. The amazing thing is that as my hair grows out, the cut just gets better. Well worth the money!

Had my first hair appointment for full highlights and a cut with Gaetano. I absolutely love it. What a cool, old fashioned salon. Gaetano (who looks 25) has been a stylist at Angst for 20 years. He is a quiet, genuinely nice man. I felt totally comfortable with him— no attitude. Just a nice human. He gave me good advice and also gave me exactly what I was looking for in both colour and cut. The price was reasonable as well. I can’t say enough good things. Thrilled to have a fabulous new stylist in Toronto.

Came here from the reviews and Google maps "near me" for a trim and style and I wasn't disappointed. In fact, it was better than expected! The place is clean, lively, old fashioned and surprisingly big inside, entrance is like walking to the gates of the Gods and that's where Gaetano comes along and shoots me down with his killer facial structure and a jawline that can chop wood.. he's absolutely a work of art. He's mature with humor, my kind of person. Does a very good job, takes his work seriously, focused and gentle, he's light handed which makes it seem like I'm not even getting a haircut. Paying gets better with the convenience they offer, it's definitely one of the best firsts for me. Guess I found my new stylist! Thank you Gaetano darling 😊❤️
