Yo!!!! ill make this brief. Asked for a very subtle balyage, like 1/3 of the intensity pretty much. showed over a dozen example photos, and clarified that I want it to be subtle, and not chunky at all......Instead I got the hair in these photos. Nuff said! When I complained, he dyed some of it back to brown, charged me full price, and sent me on my way. I ended up coming back another day to get him to dye more of it brown because it was a brassy orange color (on dark brown hair, not a cute look). 8 months later, Im still re-dying my hair dark brown because it keeps fading and showing my 90's chunky high-lites, when this was supposed to be a low maintenance, grow out and go style. Im really unhappy with my experience, the results on my hair, and the way the issue was resolved once I voiced my complaint several times.

Matthew has been taking care of my very fine hair for the last 10 years. When ever he give me a cut I know I will have no problem styling it at home the way i want to. I follow him wherever he goes ladies!

When it comes to my hair, I have been *very* selective of my stylist. Of all the ones I have gone to, Matthew has given me the best haircut I have ever had! (And I have had my absolute favourite in the past.) I am beyond in love with my hair! I like my hair short, wispy, and feminine. Somehow, he was able to make my hair short without making it feel thin. It's the first time I've experienced my hair like this as I was just thoroughly impressed how effortlessly he styled my hair to how I wanted it! The way he cuts is completely different than any other stylists I have been to. I just kept saying, "Matt, how did you do that??" The experience of getting styled from Mr. Genser is one to see for yourself and this review will make more sense. Most definitely a recommendation!

Matthew has been cutting my hair for several years, and Im hoping that he is the one cutting for the next 20 years. When I come to his salon he always does what looks best for my style and tastes. I look great a month later if I happen to get lazy or miss a cut Im not worried. You can also get a huge range of services from tattoo removal to skin treatments through his mom in the same storefront. I just left his salon and feel great about how I look.

I've never had so much fun at a salon... and I've never been so happy with a haircut. It's perfect!🐍
