After substantial weight loss, I was having difficulty with loose skin on my thighs and I sought a number opinions both in the UK and the US. I went to see Mr Stanek eventually as I have always trusted his opinion and he offered me something that no other surgeon had suggested. Mr. Stanek is a straight talker and this is the most important aspect for me. His work is superb and I am delighted with the results. I would thoroughly recommend his long standing experience of 30 years, something that no amount of money can buy. I would not use anyone else.

Please ladies don’t be fooled by his past work on the television.. Avoid surgery as he will not be held responsible for his mistakes. I had breast augmentation with Mr stanek and after years of claiming of pain and burning sensations I was dismissed some 8yrs later the pip story broke out on the news and women were complaining of the same symptoms as I had. I contacted the team to find out I in fact had been fitted with these I’ll faulty implants. I paid nearly 6k for my first surgery so expected to have the best products used not cheap tyre filler. I was brought back to replace my implants at a further cost of nearly 4K. Straight away I noticed a air pocket that would pop in and out and is noticeable I can feel it like a button being pushed. Dr stanek assured me this was nothing but the implant settling. It’s been four years and I was told to either find the money for corrective surgery minus his fee but you wouldn’t expect to pay out when the issue was there from day of the surgery. Disappointed and left to find the money to correct his work. Avoid him ladies

Mr Stanek is in a master class all of his own. I would not trust my surgery to anyone else in the world. He is skilled, professional and a surgical craftsman. Highly and hugely recommended for endoscopic brow lift, nasoplasty and implants or mastopexy. Surgery scars are minimal and results are just amazing. No one noticed I'd had surgery as the work he does is discreet and tidy. I can't thank him enough for turning my life around 12 years ago with my endoscopic brow lift and nasoplasty, and just a month ago with my mastopexy and implant removal. Don't go to anyone else if you are considering surgery.

Immediately go on to the Real Self website and look at the reviews for Stanek. These Google 5 star reviews appear mostly to be based on seeing him on TV and not on actual procedures carried out. I went on this basis and it was the biggest mistake I have ever made. Please don't use this man, many people, including myself, have had the most appalling experience with facelifts. I had to be taken back to the theatre, severe haematoma, with bruising down to chest. Solid lumps in neck then had to have steroid injections. Went back for revision, free, but had to pay for hospital and theatre. His whole manner throughout was arrogant, cold, never a follow up call to see how you were. You will see from the Real Self reviews that people have had to go elsewhere to get things put right. There's a question on the forum 'Who's the best surgeon for facelifts?' Hundreds of comments and reviews, including a lot of references to Stanek. Please check this site before doing anything else.

I remember seeing Jan Stanek on Channel 4 10 Years Younger. My niece is looking to get her breasts uplifted soon and I have recommended that she speaks to Jan before she looks anywhere else. I was very impressed with him on the TV series.
