Why can't all doctors be as precise, clear, and organized as Dr. Niessen? He's been on-time for every appointment I've had with him (three as of this review). His bedside manner, and personality in general, is calming and positive. He made a surgical procedure I had easy and relatively painless. His receptionist is also organized and easy to communicate with. Great doctor!

I went to see him to have a small cyst on my forehead removed. He said it’s so small you don’t need to worry about that. I explained it’s all I see when I look in the mirror. He said then don’t look at it. Like really? He said if I did have it removed I would have a huge scar, I wouldn’t be asymmetrical and I would have facial paralysis. It’s so small it would need one stitch. He would not do it for me because he doesn’t think I need it so I will go to a more confident, experienced surgeon. Thanks but no thanks

Secretary reception was seamless. Dr Marcus Niessen was well informed , pleasant and reassuring. No trace of rush or busy. My skin condition discussed , he linked me with a prominent dermatologist for specific treatments . Julius

My experience was much the same as others below. Terrible scarring a cyst and a trapped tendon from carpal tunnel surgery. (Went in to fix one nerve, left with issues in 2) He performed this surgery in office, it was the first surgery I’ve ever had as well as the first time dealing with stitches. I didn’t know what to expect in terms of healing, but each post op visit was him convincing me about how “normal” it was all going, when I hadn’t even given indication that I needed convincing…I cancelled the 4th post op visit bc what was the point? (I don’t know ANYONE who saw their dr more than ONCE post op) It’s been a year and a half and I’m still dealing with the complications, and even worse, no one in Windsor wanted to go near this revision. Currently (FINALLY) awaiting an appt with a specialist in london. As for the surgery itself, it was an absolute nightmare! The constant burning caused by the “local” from the time he administered it, through the whole surgery, the pressure and the scraping that I could feel, as well as a very painful snap in the fleshy area of my thumb. It was very traumatizing, especially for a first surgery. The first 3 days I would wake from naps in a cold sweat having flashbacks of the procedure. The occupational therapist I went to afterwards was mortified for me! He was aghast at how large the incision was, and couldn’t believe it had just been wrapped in gauze with nothing to support the wrist. It was easy to see Dr N has a reputation in that field. He’s lucky my OT kept a professional tongue, though you could tell he was having to bite it. 0/10 do not recommend.
