Dr. Sauer surgical repaired a flexor tendon for me about 5 weeks ago. Thus far, I have had nothing but positive experiences with him, his office, and the recommended hand therapist. Specifically, I've found his office to be much more responsive than the average doctor when I've had questions. The entire practice seems more interested in my well being than just "doing their job". I would recommended him to anyone that has an issue similar to mine.

I went to see Dr,. Sauer because someone else recommended him, but my experience was not positive. He diagnosed my problem before he even entered the room and spoke with me. When he finally listened to me and realized that my symptoms did not fit that diagnosis (the entire reason I saw him in the first place), he immediately diagnosed another condition. Again, I had to press very hard to get him to listen to my symptoms in relation to his diagnosis. When it became evident that the symptoms of that condition also did not fit my symptoms, his response was to order therapy. Since that time, another doctor has listened to my symptoms, ordered appropriate tests, and has identified and treated my condition. Perhaps Dr. Sauer might have also been able to help me if he had been willing to listen to me, the patient.

I will have to say as far as Dr. Sauer character and ability great guy. I sought a second opinion when I thought i need rehab on my hand and his in house person said I didn't. Not sure if it was because I wouldn't come all the way down to the office for it, but it was places nearer to my work. Long story short I was told I definitely need rehab to remove the severe bowing of my hands surgery site. Now as far as is "helpers" in the office not so much. I think they have actually done something illegal. Was waiting on insurance company answers and my account was sent to collections and they added 40% to it. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners. So just beware of what you are getting into.

I had a dog bite on my lip that he initially did a follow up on and I could not be more pleased. The office has such a great office staff and are always easy to work with. His work is beyond reproach and his years of experience shows in everything he does. I'm so very glad he was referred to me.
