Dr. Keojampa is wonderful. I had an amazing experience from start to finish and I couldn't recommend him highly enough.

This review is for the Facial Feminization Surgery (FFS) Dr. Keojampa performed for me in September, 2018. I will add an addendum in 2019 for the Vocal Feminization I have scheduled for December. Simply stated: Dr. Keojampa has changed my life in a very profound way. The procedures (Type-3 Crainioplasty, brow lift, scalp advancement, and lip lift) have feminized my face in subtle, but profound ways. As a friend said, "It's you, but without the male edges." Most people thought when I was going in for 'plastic surgery' (despite me reminding them it was reconstructive), there would be a more pronounced change. But that is not the point of these procedures. Again, there are changes, profound changes that have all but erased the dysphoria I felt on a daily basis when looking in the mirror as well as changing how others react to me. But it is still me, which is a lovely thing. What is also lovely is that Dr. Keojampa was able to advance my hairline about 5cm (close to 2 inches). As a result, I no longer have to wear a wig or scarf to disguise a receding hairline. Not just lovely...life changing. Oh, and the scar from the lip lift, while still healing, is virtually invisible to others and the scar from the scalp advancement is healing quite well. I will share more when I revise this review in 2019. Also, Dr. Keojampa was able to bill my insurance for the procedure. His documentation of my previous condition was thorough and convincing enough that despite my carrier's initial denials, I was able to take my case to the CA Department of Managed Health Care and have those denials overturned. I cannot thank him and Jess, the awesome point person in his office who helped me work through the insurance issues and set my appointment, enough. Without this assistance, I would not have been able to afford this procedure. I look forward to revising this review after my vocal surgery. Dr. Keojampa is a gifted surgeon and has always been patient and sympathetic, explaining everything he is doing and managing my expectations in a professional and caring manner. While I cannot speak for the work of others in the field, I have every reason to recommend him as highly as possible.

I have had my facial feminization surgery with Dr. Keojampa 08/09/2018 I'm 2 months post op now and I really love my results. I am very very dysphoric about my browbone and high hairline but not anymore. He did an amazing job obliterating it. My friends and family love how my face looks. Scars are invisible. Every single procedures he have done to me was AMAZING. Highly recommend! If you guys wanna see me my Instagram is: yourstrulyjem :)

[UPDATED] The doctor is great: very patient and professional, gives you all the information and time you need. My wife had a surgical procedure on her throat, which went great and resolved the issue a few other ENTs failed to even diagnose. That said, billing just does not work well. First, it literally took me dozens of hours on the phone to get some insight into how much they are going to bill me for the aforementioned procedure. Then they overcharged me $2000 in advance and when I noticed and called, they promised to refund the money, but it took half a year of calls (to them and my insurance) to actually get it back and I was very close to filing complaints with overseeing bureaus. Despite the response below, the rating represents overall experience (not just the doctor) and given through how much hell we had to go through with the billing department, it would be a lie to say that the overall experience deserves 5 stars.

I went to see Dr. Kyle Keojampa because I was experiencing pain in my ear after flying. He had me watch a video explaining some concepts about the ear pertaining to my problem and then he returned to the room and specifically explained my issues and possible resolutions; he used a model of the ear to explain things to me which I found helpful. Dr. Keojampa also carefully vacuumed wax out of my ear. I thought he had a good bedside manner. Unlike another ENT doctor I saw a few years ago, he didn't try to push plastic surgery to fix my problem.
