I'd never had any issues with the silicone breast implants I got in the late 90's until a few months ago when one of them swelled up like a balloon, doubling in size within two weeks. Dr. von Maur got me into implant exchange surgery in less than a week. He didn't take chances. Afterwards, when one of my breasts swelled up, rather than pump me with antibiotics to see if it was just an infection that would go away, he took the safe route by having me come back for another surgery to remove them. He said my body should heal and he'll try to put new implants in again in a few months. Even though it didn't go completely as I'd hoped, I didn't go to Dr. von Maur for cosmetic reasons. I knew I could trust him medically. I saw him enough times to really get to know him and his character. He clearly prioritized my health over everything else, and that made me feel safe. It was a really scary process and he was always calm and reassuring with the facts and all my options. He also has a wonderful staff. They are warm and made me laugh when I came in. It took the weight off the pressure and fear I was feeling.

I first found Dr. von Maur when I was at the Shops at Mission Viejo. I stopped by the info desk for Mission Hospital and asked for a referral. The doctor was on the board. I also got a referral from my ear, nose, and throat doctor to him. I had sinus surgery and thought I wanted to fix some abnormalities on my nose the first time I met him but when I had my sinuses done, it was painful so I decided not to go through with the extra surgery. Still, I was so impressed with Dr. von Maur that when I wanted to get a breast augmentation, I went back to him and am really glad I did. When I had the surgery, the results were perfect. I trust Dr. von Maur. Heâ€™s really professional and very kind. He is meticulous. He listened to every detail I gave him. And he gave me lots of info before my surgery. In fact, I had a couple of consultations because he wanted to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. One thing I really love is that he offers digital imagery so I could see what the changes would look like on the computer beforehand! He was also amazing in post-recovery. My breast augmentation was 13 years ago and I recently went back because of the aging process. I need a lift after my second child. I want to have everything tightened. The symmetry is still perfect but gravity takes its pull. Iâ€™m also going to Dr. von Maur for my sun spots. I went to a dermatologist but I decided to go with Dr. von Maur because I know I will absolutely get the results I want.

I've had Botox and filler a few times, and I was looking to get the next something done to my face. I'm very fair and have always had reverse pigmentation issues and had some acne scarring and now at 44 I have this and also suddenly wrinkles. My boyfriend had the fat bags under his eyes taken care of at CosmetiCare a few years ago, so I went there for microneedling. I was so impressed that the consultation was free and that Dr. von Maur was going to my treatment rather than an RN. I thought this was just awesome. Another doctor had said I'd need 5 or 6 treatments. Dr. von Maur said no, that wouldn't be necessary, because he was going to go deep in some areas, such as my nose. The procedure wasn't easy but it also wasn't horrible. My nose looked really raw because a layer of skin was taken off, but I recovered quickly. I did it on a Thursday and by Monday I was able to go out with special makeup on. I'm very happy with the results. It tightened my skin, helped my scarring a lot, and got rid of a ton of little fine lines. Dr. von Maur is amazing. Everyone in the office is just amazing.

I'd gotten a breast augmentation with saline implants from CosmetiCare back in 90's. They lasted 20 years, and then finally one of the implants burst. So I went back to CosmetiCare and Dr. von Maur did my breast implant exchange. Dr. von Maur is absolutely no-nonsense and is intent on getting the job done well, and I felt confident and comfortable with him at all times. I'm very pleased with his work. The surgery was clean-cut and I had much less pain than I'd expected. I only had to take the pain pills for one day and then I used Tylenol. Because of circumstances in my life, it was a full year from the time my implant burst till I got the procedure. Because the implant had deflated, Dr. von Maur had more damage to fix than if I'd gotten in sooner, and I'm grateful that the implants are in excellent condition and I'm doing so well almost a year after the procedure.
