Newport Beach Center for Plastic Surgery: Savalia Nirav B MD

I had stage 3 breast cancer. Nirav was the only doctor out of 7 I interviewed who told me 100% (not a may be) that they can save my nipples and restore everything after double mastectomy. Surviving cancer, 3 years later, after three kids I look better now then I did in 40 years. Nirav knows all the latest technology. I just read previous review and I was in shock that somebody would even rate a business without actually doing any business. It should be review on their work. Not what they think of the business :( I'm sure he only specializes in things he can do. He is not a magician and if he said he didn't want to take that other job - extra credit to him for not just closing sale but being responsible and only taking on work he can guarantee. I have referred many of my friends and cancer survivors I met to him. And I am forever thankful! I am actually going back tomorrow because I have little bump that my dermatologist couldn't take out. And I have complete confidence they will not just do their job well but make me feel good and beautiful!

Leslie is THE BEST. She is so skilled with filler and botox. I get so many compliments that I look so rested and youthful. Was very cautious when I first tried this, didn't want to look over done. She is a master. Thanks Leslie for your kind spirit and magic!

I am in dire need of reconstructive breast surgery.   First red flag for Dr Savalia: He met me in his office, and told me something like, "Tell me about yourself". What?! It was devastating by the results of another surgeon. Why was I not in a patient room in a gown? Why was he not looking at my breasts and telling me what he could do for me to help remedy this horrible ordeal? I told him we should be discussing my surgeries that led to my breast's current condition... tissue loss, loss of implants...He didn't seem to care. He tried again, "I need to know... tell me about Holiday?" I felt like I was in the damn Twilight Zone. Seriously?! What is wrong with this man! If I answered him in 3rd person did I have a better shot as him repairing my breasts I was desperate to fix??? I would not play his Tell-Me-How-Much-$-You-Have game. I felt I was being sized up financially in his office as this doctor sat behind a large formal desk.     Second red flag for Dr Savalia: He also asked me in his office what was the MINIMUM I would accept for my breast's reconstruction. What kind of mentality is that? Why was he so very slow in discussing solutions with me? Dr Savalia's bedside manner is TERRIBLE. He may or may not do good work. I don't know. After the consultation I try to get pricing. It didn't happen. I try to move the appointment day. It didn't happen. I do get an email from Annel at 5pm, when the office is closed, so that of course I can't call and ask why in person saying:  "After careful consideration, we have made the decision that we are not the best fit for you." I responded to the email asking for a reason why. I also forgot my records there. I had been crying and they as well forget to return them as I left. I drove away and received a VM that my records were there and then they immediately would not answer their phone. It was there lunch break. I live an hour away, (2 hours roundtrip) and have to go back today to pick up my records so that I can find a competent and compassionate reconstructive surgeon.   Dr Kaidi, a very nice man, (Dr Kaidi greeted me in a patient room from the start, looked at my breasts, and immediately offered solutions to help me. He was the exact opposite of Dr Savalia.) referred me to Dr Savalia believing he would help me. I have informed Dr Kaidi of Dr Savalia refusal to do so, and asked him to reconsider referring others to this doctor.   There is no referral to another specialist in that email from Dr Savalia's office. What kind of cold hearted surgeon turns away someone in dire need of his help without even a referral to another doctor? Dr Savalia does.

I absolutely love Dr. Savalia! He is the most kind, caring and professional doctor I’ve ever known. I first met Dr. Savalia in 2015 when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I had oncoplastic breast cancer reconstruction by Dr. Savalia. I went from one doctor telling me I would need a complete mastectomy to Dr. Savalia telling me he could not only save my breast but he assured me I'd be happy with the results. From the minute I first saw my new breasts to now I’m completely happy and amazed at the work he did. Then in 2016 I decided to have abdominoplasty with Dr. Savalia. I had wanted a tummy tuck for years, but was concerned about the pain that might be involved. I went for a consultation and Dr. Savalia took a lot of time to talk to me, he put me at ease, and explained the procedure clearly. I had surgery and my results are amazing! Another amazing thing was there really wasn't any pain involved. There's something about the way he does surgery that gives you the results you want without a lot of pain. Dr. Savalia and his entire staff are the absolute best. Annel, his office manager, is very knowledgeable and consistently always answered all of my questions with a caring and friendly attitude. I think I could have called her every day with questions and she'd always be her sweet and friendly self. My entire experience was always beyond positive. I am grateful to have found such an outstanding doctor. I would highly recommend Dr. Savalia to anyone!
