I am a four year breast cancer survivor and I chose Dr. Rau for my reconstruction surgery after one consult. He is friendly, caring, compassionate about his work. He explained all my options and was honest about the long process(total time took 13 months) The office staff also were friendly and helpful during this long process. My best friend, sister-in-law, and my mom we’re impressed with my results that each of them went to Dr. Rau for their own procedures and were happy with their care and the results. Thank you Dr. Rau!

The only reason I am taking the time to write a review is to help other women not to make the same mistake I made. The staff here is wonderful. However I had the worse experience with this Doctor. I will not go into details just do your homework and be sure you know what you are signing. You need to educate yourself before you see him. There are many doctors in his area with great skills, understanding of patient needs, sympathy and do anything you can to protect yourself from money making machines that do not care about their patients. Giving him a 2 star to be kind. Be very careful who you trust with your precious body.

I didn't realize that people were now leaving reviews on their doctors. While it's now been about 18 months since I first saw Dr. Rau the experience is burned into my brain. His staff is wonderful, kind and helpful. To say that his bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired is kind. I'm now seeking services from another plastic surgeon to assist with scar revision as well. Do your due diligence and get recommendations from friends and family.

Dr. Rau gave me my life back!!! Having lost 260 lbs 13 years ago, I needed extensive surgery to remove skin (I looked like a shar pei) and restore my body to normal. I was originally sent to Dr. Rau from my insurance company because the first two plastic surgeons I went to had botched my FIRST tummy tuck and breast lift so badly that my insurance paid for revision surgeries and subsequently removed the prior surgeons from their provider list. The surgeries I have had done by Dr. Rau since 2006: tummy tuck repair breast lift repair breast implants pubic lift (yes, really) brachioplasty thigh lift upper body lift lower body lift (what he's done for my butt is AMAZING) full face lift liposuction botox Dr. Rau is the most knowledgeable, caring, and conscientious doctors I have ever been to. He has always cared about the outcome of my surgeries as much as I have! Not only did he 'reconstruct' my disastrous body.... he made me beautiful. He is a gifted ARTIST! I have recently moved 100 miles away, but I gladly drive the distance to be taken care of by the BEST! I honestly would never see another cosmetic surgeon! I have referred several friends and family members to Dr. Rau and heard nothing but positive feedback. The staff is equally caring and always available to answer questions, calm nerves and (literally) hold your hand if that's what you need.
