Dr. Barttlebort is the best in his field bar none. He is an exceptional listener, communicator and a master of his art. I knew I was in the best hands from day one and that carried thru my over 2 year journey. He is absolutely the best guide. Not only do his patients feel this way about him but his staff and everyone throughout the hospital. They all love him which speaks volumes. He truly cares about his patients and their results. I can go on and on. There are not enough words.

Doctor Barttlebort is the absolute best! He is a brilliant doctor and has a very kind bed side manner. His office is very efficient. Tanya his assistant is wonderful and makes you feel totally at ease. I feel honored and blessed to have had them as my team throughout my cancer journey. Needless to say my surgery turned out beautiful and my friends did as well. I tell everyone I know to not waste there time or risk going to any other surgeon.

I’d never felt compelled to write about my experience with a physician’s office until I met Dr. Barttelbort and his staff. In August of 2014 I found out I had the BRCA-1 gene mutation. I began my exploration into treatment options by asking not only friends for recommendations, but also my family physician and the nursing staff at the offices I attended during the diagnostic process. Repeatedly Dr. Barttelbort’s name came up. I initially made three appointments with three different plastic and reconstructive surgeons in the San Diego area. Dr. B was the first consultation on my list. From the moment I arrived, his office staff was warm and welcoming. Upon meeting Dr. B, it immediately became clear why year after year he’s recognized by his peers and revered by patients as an exceptional surgeon. He was kind, patient, and completely focused on me and making sure ALL of my questions were addressed. I instantly knew he was the surgeon for me. I’d never felt such compassion from a doctor in my life, and as someone who has worked in healthcare; I can say I’ve never met a doctor like him, or a staff as professional and personable as his. After that initial consultation, I cancelled all my other appointments and scheduled my surgery with him immediately. I didn’t need to meet with anyone else! Four months, and two surgeries later, I can say with 100% conviction I made the perfect choice. Not only is he dedicated to his patients, he’s an incredibly talented surgeon. I had a double mastectomy with reconstruction surgery and at forty-six years old I can happily say my breasts look better than they did before my surgeries! I never realized how important that would be to me post-op. Nor did I expect such amazing results, but in hindsight I’m not surprised because it was one of the things I heard from people when they referred me to him. During one of the most challenging times in my life, Dr. B and his staff not only held my hand and supported me they made me whole again. They’ve been instrumental in my not only my physical healing, but my emotional healing as well. I’m forever grateful for their exceptional and loving care, and if I ever find myself considering any plastic surgery in the future, Dr. Barttelbort will be my first choice.
