Initial Inquiry Phone Call Did Not Go Well. Support Staff, for me, must be as strong as the Doctor.... I had a very basic question about a very simple procedure that Ashley, who answered the call, could not answer. She put me on hold to get someone who could... about (what felt like) 10 minutes later, a girl named Amanda came to the phone. I explained to her that the answer to my simple question was found right on their website and it was a little unsettling that Ashley didn't know the answer. She then told me Ashley was 'new' which is completely understandable, however, again, this was a question answered prominently on the website. It appears I have spent more time on their own website than the staff 'answering phones' and for this reason, I declined to go any further and will continue my research to find the best practice to meet my needs. I say 'practice' because when it comes to something as serious as SURGERY (esp multiple surgeries), it is critical to have support staff that is just as good as the Doctor performing the surgery. In this case, right off the bat, I was met with a RED FLAG. To be clear, this is not something egregious but again, the first thing I personally look for, when calling a practice in consideration of something as serious as SURGERY, is a strong support staff. In this case, this was a miss for me and therefore, I made the decision to go no further than the initial call. Unfortunately, some Doctors, even the best sometimes, just do not 'get' the CRITICAL IMPORTANCE of a good support staff. I am writing this review in hopes that Dr Mao will read it and that it will be helpful at promoting internal optimization for him, his team and future patients.

Grossly overpriced for lip injections, very rushed, my lips were uneven and had tiny bubbles. I didn't feel comfortable having him attempt to fix them because I was getting married soon. No refund offered. Definitely took advantage of the reason why I wanted to get them done. The nurse who fixed my lips told me they regularly get asked to correct his work on his lip injections patients. (My name was legally Nicole Brown in your computer system to reference.)

I can't say enough about how happy I am that I had Dr. Mao fix my droopy eyelids and remove the puffy (bags) from under my eyes. Not only do my eyes look fantastic, but even more importantly, the lids were affecting my vision more than I realized, because now I don't need my distance glasses as much. It's so natural looking that people don't know I had surgery- they just comment that I look great! Awesome place, Awesome Dr Mao, and his wonderful nurse!! I am thrilled with my eyes!! Thank you Dr. Mao!

LIP AUGMENTATION: Dr. Mao is a personable, knowledgeable, and very skilled physician with a humerous personality. I went in feeling anxious about what to expect. I left feeling confident and educated about the stages of healing, aftercare, and result. I highly recommend Dr. Mao for your luxurious natural lip look.

I had my upper and lower lids done to reduce the sagginess and the puffiness. In the past I’ve always resisted the idea of having anything done to my face because I was always afraid it would not look natural (I’d rather live with what I've got instead of looking ‘freaky’). I heard about Dr. Mao through word of mouth, and I decided to get my lids fixed. The upper lids were sagging, and I got huge pouches on the lower lids. The procedure went well; I could barely feel any pain. My face was swollen for a week for two, but with very little pain. Dr. Mao, Amanda (his assistant), and his staff were very nice! It’s been 5 months and I am so happy with the results. I doesn’t look like anything was done to my eye areas but now I have no sagging on the upper lid and the pouches under the lower lid are gone. It was so important to me that I look natural after the procedure, and Dr. Mao gave me that. Overall, it was a very positive experience, and I would highly recommend Dr. Mao to others. I, myself, if I were to need further work, I’d definitely go back there!
