I had a number of nasal procedures done to improve my breathing as well as the appearance of my nose. The results of my surgery were life changing- not only do I love the look of my nose, I can finally breathe normally. Dr. Shaye was very knowledgeable, kind and professional. I had the opportunity of meeting Dr. Shaye in late August after I had suffered multiple injuries due to a car accident. The emergency room in Rhode Island had referred me to Dr. Shay due to the extensive fractures of my neck, jaw, cheekeye sockeI, as well as multiple lacerations, severed nerves and salivary gland in my cheek. within minutes of arriving at Massachusetts Eye and Ear, Dr. Shaye and his colleagues immediately scheduled the surgeries needed to correct my injuries. His skill as a surgeon in incredible as my healing is ahead of schedule. As Dr. Shaye was listed as my doctor while in the hospital I was impressed at The teamwork and communication between doctors and as every doctor knew what the other had done or been responsible for. The professionalism that he showed was extremely high while still able to have a down to earth bedside manner. He checked in daily while I was at the hospital and has continued to follow up on the progress. My follow up appointments are regular and personal as he takes the time to ask not only how the physical healing is doing, but mental and environmental challenges that could effect the process. His staff is incredibly friendly, helpful and personal. I always feel welcome as a patient and have never waited more than the time they explained. The facilities are impeccably clean, modern and comfortably designed. They are well stocked with modern and up to date equipment, sufficient supplies and a great nursing and support team. As I have been continuing my follow up, he took a trip outside the country in the middle of a busy schedule to help children in Guatemala who needed surgery and could not afford it. Amazed is the word that comes to mind. My over all experience was a 5 out of 5. If you need facial plastic or reconstructive surgery, this is the doctor in the Northeast that you need to see.
