Dr Zbar is an amazing doctor. He takes tons of time to explain everything in detail. The surgery went so well and my scar is nearly invisible. He explains how I can avoid skin cancer again and made recommendations that were so very helpful. He also takes insurance!!

I saw Dr Ross Zbar because of a skin cancer of my nose. He is an artist. He was great at explaining the disease and treatment. He reviewed everything that I could expect. His professionalism and expertise is obvious. He is well trained and has a ton of experience. The surgery went just as planned. My scar is barely noticeable. He is outstanding. I highly recommend him. His staff is really nice and supportive too. In today's world of rushed docs, he spends the needed time to make you comfortable.

Very professional and respected, Dr Zbar did a great job. I had a facial mass. He explained the surgery. His helpful staff scheduled me. The procedure went well. The scar is practically invisible. I am grateful for his skill.

Long post but important to read. It has been a year since I had a back lipoma removed by Dr Zbar. I normally never write reviews, but even a year later looking at my scar makes me so angry. I didn’t have a good feeling from Zbar since our first appointment, even though he came as a referral to me. He was condescending and talked down to me, and said he would like my parents to be involved. Excuse me? I was 23, professionally employed and making this decision about my body on my own. The real problem came about 1 month after my surgery. I could tell the scar was not healing correctly and I called Zbar to tell him that it seemed open on one side and small amounts of blood were coming out. He was extremely nasty on the phone and told me that would be “extremely rare”. I had to insist that something was wrong and he passive aggressively agreed to have me in for an appointment. He complained that I was concerned about the scar even though I had not finished the after surgery care. At the appointment he apologized because my stitches in fact had broken and I needed to go back to the original after surgery care steps. I told him I was disappointed that I could not get proper advice over the phone and that he made me feel like I was overreacting. I’m sure I would have come in for an appointment earlier had he taken me seriously, and also taken the right steps to care for my scar. Instead he told me to continue the normal treatment and this ultimately further delayed my healing. Now, my scar is much fatter on one side where the stitches had come out. Extremely disappointing considering I went to a plastic surgeon to get the most minimal scarring. Zbars ego got in the way of his practice, and I’m sure I won’t be the only one that happens to. He was also rude to my mom right before my surgery. She asked about scar care and he barked that he had already explained that to me. Don’t underestimate the value of good bedside manners. I ignored it considering he was a referral and he had many awards and a good education. Big mistake!

If you want horrible scars after your surgery go see Dr. Zbar. He did a terrible job with my breast reduction surgery in 2013. Until this day, my breast get numbed around the scars. He never gave me a size of where he was going to leave me at. He claimed he took out 2 lbs out of each breast but I still used the same size bra after the reduction , only somewhat of a difference. He totally took out the drains in the hospital and left the wounds open claiming that they would close on their own. I was definitely butchered instead of treated by plastic surgeon that would try his best not to scar as much as he did. Also my breasts are not pointing where they should, if you know what I mean. I need to get another surgery, eventually for all the scarring and a true reduction. It took a lot for me to post this as I was traumatized and can't even look at myself in the mirror. Deserves 0 stars.
