Dr.Sung is not only a genius plastic surgeon but also a personable friend of mine now. I've been a regular patient with him for 3 years and I personally trust him with whatever procedures to be done to my face. I always go to him every time I feel that something needs to be done, and he is always honest with what's necessary vs.not. He never tries to sell you anything that you don't need. In addition, he also works in ER at New York Presbyterian Hospital, which saved my friend's life when he had an acute appendicitis. I was feeling so lost that night and I couldn't think of anyone else to come to. He listened to my friend's symptoms and advised me to go to the hospital where he works. He even introduced the surgeon to us and took good care of us. Who else could be so kind and generous?

Never had to use a Plastic Surgeon before. I thank God He gave me Dr. Sung! Had to have back fusion surgery (only a month into recovery), but in part to this man’s skill, I have a second lease on life with a clean, healing wound. Brilliant talent. Only use him!

Dr. Sung has magic hands and is truly gifted in his area of expertise. I am simply lost for words to express my gratitude for what he has done for me. He treated me for an emergency cut to my forehead that required multiple stitches. He was not only able to delicately stitch my wound back but also to ensure that I remained calm and confident in his abilities in an extremely stressful situation. His bedside manner is impeccable, his follow up commendable, and it is obvious that he is truly and absolutely dedicated to his craft. I would not trust anyone else with my face!

I'm seeing Dr. Sung primarily for Sculptra. Have had 3 sessions with him since February of this year. Since then, I've received feedback that exceeded my hopes and expectations. A co-worker was recently recounting something from his past to me. He said, "This happened in 1985 -- long before you were born." I was born in 1967! And this weekend at a barbecue, I saw 2 friends that I hadn't seen since Christmas. They said to me, "What have you been doing? You're aging backward, like Benjamin Button. You look like you're in your 30s." Dr. Sung is very kind and attentive. He is conservative and careful, so as not to overdo one's face. I will continue my ongoing anti-aging efforts with Dr. Sung.

RACE MATTERS: Dr. Sung is knowledgeable, conscientious and culturally conscious. I had an office visit on December 21st for a consultation regarding umbilicoplasty due to a chronically abraded umbilicus. He immediately discerned that I may have been suffering from an umbilical hernia, he palpated the region, confirmed his suspicion and referred me to a general surgeon. I was able to consult with the surgeon, the renowned Dr. Howard Beaton, the following week on the 28th who confirmed the diagnosis. Dr. Sung's training and experience with multicultural patients affords him an advantage in dealing with patients of color. Being culturally aware and relevant, esp. re: ethnicity can prevent a negative outcome. For instance, if a less-informed surgeon were to begin transforming an innie to an outtie and then encountered a hernia that spontaneously ruptured. Dr. Sung prioritized my health above his need to generate a "case" thereby honoring the healthcare dictum and Latin phrase, 'Primum non nocere', translation: 'First, do no harm'.
