I decided that I wanted to have a breast augmentation. After doing a huge amount of research and talking with friends in Manhattan who had the surgery I narrowed it down to half a dozen. I went for a consultation with each and decided with out a doubt on Dr. Beran. I became more and more nervous about the surgery in the last week but my nerves were primarily over the anesthesia. I've never been put under for anything before and the closest I've come is Novocaine at the dentist. I asked some friends who've had it and they said it was no big deal but I couldn't shake the thought. I met the anesthesiologist who was a laid back very friendly guy who explained he'd been doing it for 35 years. I asked if he could shoot me with a tranquilizer gun similar to what you see in the wild so I wouldn't see it coming. We laughed and I told him what a control freak I am. He understood completely. We started talking about my dogs and the next thing I knew I woke up with two brand new boobs. I couldn't believe it. I had read about some side affects from the anesthesia. I had none. I was dizzy for 20 minutes and that was it. I was able to eat real food, no vomiting, no blurred vision. I thanked him continuously. I don't want to leave out the rest of the staff. The nurses were fantastic. They joked with me (I'm sarcastic to a fault especially when I've nervous). I went in with severely ripped apart skin on my upper life from an esthetician at a highly regarded spa that had been doing it 26 years (although I'd like to I wont name any names!). When I woke up it didn't hurt at all. They had put some sort of aloe/lotion/concoction on my lip and 6 hours later it's almost healed (I can't stress how terrible it looked when I went in!). They immediately brought ginger ale and sought out some crackers when I asked. Fantastic! Dr. Beran met with me again briefly before the surgery. We discussed again what I wanted (going from a full A to a small to medium C and I wanted to look natural more than anything). He drew on some lines, took some pictures and I was set to go. He told me what to expect and even gave me an 8 am appointment to come in and see him Friday, before they're officially open, to accommodate his vacation and my vacation. Fantastic. I was completely happy and comfortable. It's been literally 7 hours. I'm not in much pain at all. I haven't even touched the pain killers they gave me. I haven't seen anything yet and it will be a couple of weeks before I can comment on how my new breasts look but I definitely have no complaints thus far and I'm not worried it will be anything but what I wanted. This is the first time I've ever left a review for any product or service but I am just so thrilled with everything thus far!

I have been looking for the right board certified plastic surgeon in New York City for a long time. I had seen three or four other surgeons who specialize in cosmetic surgery, but I am so lucky I found Dr. Beran. He has offices in Manhattan and Westchester and was convenient to my home in Chelsea. Dr. Beran was recomended to me by a friend who had seen him listed as one of the best doctors in New York by New York Magazine. He specializes in cosmetic plastic surgery. She saw him for a total mommy makeover with a tummy tuck, liposuction, and a breast augmentation and loved the results. I wanted a breast augmentation and some liposuction. I knew that I could trust Dr. Beran. He spent an hour with me telling me about breast augmentation, the silicone and saline implants, the different breast augmentation incisions, and the things liposuction would improve. After he answered all of my questions, I scheduled my cosmetic surgery with him. TThe operating room staff was very nice and I chose to have it done in the privacy of the White Plains operating rooms, but he is also able to do surgery in Manhattan. I love my results. I am now a solid C cup and my implants are so soft you can't even tell I had it done. Now I am thinking about Botox next.
