Fantastic surgeon, very professional, excellent results, very compassionate and caring. She operated on my husband''s lower eyelid, a very delicate area, and the results were great. Highly recommend Dr. Cheryl White.

When I was diagnosed with breast cancer in March of this year, I didn’t realize the full impact of what was to come until I was ushered through a process that made my head swim. My treatment plan at Baylor Medical of Irving included a full team of professionals, extending from my Primary Care Physician, Gynecologist, Radiologist, Breast Care Navigator, Breast Surgeon, Plastic Surgeon and on through an Oncologist. I was jokingly told, however, that my Plastic Surgeon would become my best friend, as I would see he (or she) most often! To my joy, I feel sincerely blessed that I do. Dr. Cheryl White, a plastic surgeon in Irving, Texas, is for all intents and purposes, an angel. She has gone beyond the limits of helping heal me physically, and has become a true blessing in my life. I’ll be forever grateful for the extraordinary level of care she has given me. Besides being kind, taking the time to talk to me in explanation and being truly caring, it’s very obvious to me she absolutely loves what she does. For one thing, she’s very ‘hands-on’. Her nurses don’t take care of even the menial task of bandaging; Dr. White does everything herself. And then there was the Sunday afternoon at 5pm, Memorial weekend, when I called, fearful of needing to aspirate fluid behind my breast expanders (placed there by Dr. White during my bilateral mastectomy). Dr. White returned my call personally from her home. In lieu of sending me to the emergency room as most doctors would, she asked if I could give her two hours and she would meet me at her office at 7pm to check them herself. How many doctors do that anymore? How many care that much about their patients and their outcome? Further, there many times she scheduled follow-up appointments to ensure things were merely progressing nicely. She places the needs of her patients above her personal aspirations, and thereby fosters a very caring and trusting doctor/patient relationship. She’s not only caring, compassionate and competent . . . she’s available. To place ‘the icing on the cake’ so to speak, I am well aware that knowledge is a basic necessity. To that end, it’s comforting to know that Dr. White went to Harvard Medical School. It’s also comforting that everyone I spoke to, from doctors to oncology nurses, stated that if they had to undergo reconstructive surgery themselves, their choice would be Dr. White. It is my belief, that outside of artistic talent, quality training and experience, strong moral character and high ethical standards are paramount in a doctor. For me, that doctor is Dr. Cheryl White …. a doctor that places my end result and safety as a top priority. She has become, and will continue to be, the epitome of greatness and an answer to a prayer amongst the chaos of cancer. Fran D. Irving, TX
