Reviews are normally done shortly after our experience while the memories are still fresh but how about months or years later. I did my Lasik back in 2004 by Dr. Mazaheri, the results were excellent and after roughly 14 years later I am still extremely happy with my vision. I just wanted to drop a line and show my appreciation of a job well done. Thanks Doc. Nick S.

Dr. Mazaheri performed my LASIK procedure in January 2002. I had very poor vision due an astigmatism in my left eye. After the procedure, my vision improved to 20/15 in my left eye and 20/20 in my right eye. Dr. M may seem a bit brusque but he actually has a good sense of humor and is both competent and confident. When I consulted with Dr. M, he personally did the measurements and assessed my vision. This small gesture meant a lot to me because I went to three other places and each one lined us up like a fast food drive-thru and had some pimply teenager running the machines. Ultimately I chose Dr. M because I liked his personal attention to detail. The only complaints I have are about LASIK in general (not Dr. M): 1. At night, lights seem to have a haze around them. It took me several months to get used to it. And to this day it still can be a problem, especially in the rain. I do miss the sharpness that corrective lenses provided at night. Also, if you use red-dot sights on handguns or rifles the haze can be kind of annoying. 2. Now that I'm getting older (16 years after the procedure) my vision is still superb, but I struggle with focusing on things 8 inches from my eyes. What that means is that I'm starting to require reading glasses. Eventually I may need bifocals. LASIK can fix your cornea but it can't stop your eyes from getting old. I mistakenly believed I would never require glasses again, and it turns it out that this belief is not necessarily true. In conclusion, I recommend Dr. M. He does excellent work.

This doctor is mean.... - I asked if he use latest technology/machine for surgery, he said this question was insulting to him because technology he use already latest. - We we agree to pay cash what ever he quoted us...on the appointment day, they took our insurance information saying in case something goes wrong, they need it, and later I saw in my insurance EOB, he also billed insurance and got money from insurance on top of what we had contract with him. We paid more than what other doctors charges plus. - Eyes took way longer to heal than other I know have had surgery with other doctors. - We spent same or more amount of money that we paid him for surgery for expensive medication after surgery. We had to use very expensive medication for prolonged period of time. Total out of pocket cost crossed $10K. - His stuff not nice and every time we visited in first 3 months found different stuff. They don't stay longer with him.

Dr. M. and his grand workforce, I had the Lasik Procedure completed in 2004 by Dr. Mazaheri and I still, to this day, have obtained 20/20 vision. The whole procedure was very easy, from the preliminary conference to the aftercare, I felt at ease with Dr. M and his staff. I have recommended several colleagues, acquaintances and relatives throughout the years, and as of August 2013, my adult son will have the procedure done as well. NO ONE does it better than Dr. M., I would like to express much gratitude for the numerous years of great vision with no contacts or glasses to have to rely on. Dr. M, you changed my outlook on everything, thank you so much for making it such an easy, unproblematic procedure. Cordially, Kent Lawrence
