Sono Bello Body Contouring & Facial Aesthetics

After reading all the posts I thought I would give Sono Bello the benefit of the doubt.. I called to ask if I would be meeting with a physician at my consult and someone name Erin could not answer me directly. It took me five times to ask the same question. I even asked if the consultant person was a nurse or physician assistant. They were neither. Must have been a call center because she tried to transfer me to the office. She said nobody answered so I said that’s OK i will talk to them when i get there. So I was in the area went up to ask again in person before my appointment and the lady at the front desk who has red hair said no I would not be meeting with a doctor only the consultant. She said we meet with the physician at our preop appointment. I told her that it is not best practice to have us meet with our physician just before a procedure we have to get a feel for them to know if they are the right person for us or not. This is something that happens at a consultation. I told her that’s OK cancel my appointment and I left. This would have been my fourth consultation but I would rather spend more money and feel comfortable about who is around me then have to worry and pay less. All of my other consultations have been perfect and now I am ready to make a decision but it will not be Sono Bello. So to recap no you do not meet with a physician at your consultation you meet with the sales rep. just remember the sales rep isn’t the one performing the procedure. They have a title of patient consultant. I didn’t find them friendly at all any of them.

I am posting this because I wish I had known these things before I got involved with this company. First, if something comes up in your life and for whatever reason you have to cancel and you have already paid some if not all of your procedure. They keep 1000 of that no matter what. Second, if you have to reschedule because life happens there is a 10% fee. So if my procedure was 10,000 then to reschedule would be 1000. Lastly, I went into their office to cancel and request a refund the women was very nice and told me she would submit it that day and it would take 7-10 business days. That was two weeks ago and I finally found out that they actually submitted it 5 days later then she said she would. This does not mean the people were rude. They were not rude, but if I had known before what I know now I probably never would have even considered it.

Unethical. Beware. I was so excited to schedule my consultation but was very disappointed in the outcome. I visited the Sonobello (bellaire, tx location) last month. I thought I would consult with a doctor, but i was checked out by a sales lady Jessica Dupry. She spoke to me like she had medical experience and even asked me to undress so she could view the areas. She lied and told me my BMI was one specific number and it was incorrect. I paid for half the procedure cost upfront, and was told i could pay the other half 2 weeks prior to the procedure. After leaving the office and speaking with my husband i decided to meet with my PCP to ensure this was safe and that i would be ok doing it with only local anesthesia. I I met with my primary care physican and she advised me not to have the procedure because i would be a high risk candidate with my bmi being so high (which was a total different number than what Jessica gave me). I called to cancel the service and was told i needed to come in to cancel, which would mean me leaving work to simply cancel an appointment. Jessica attitude completely changed, she was rude and showed no compassion. I was also told i would not be refunded all of my money. I find this unethical and dishonest to say the least. I found out after the fact that Jessica is a salesperson. She is not a doctor and not licensed to give consultantions or ok a person for treatment. I will report them to the BBB and I've already filed a police report as well. I will also report this to the medical board if this issue is not resolved. My advice is to not go unless you meet with the actual doctor. Do not pay them until you are 100% sure. They made an unauthorized copy of my credit card and i didn't know until they charged my card a second time without my consent. I would also advise you send a little more money and go to a board certified surgeon who provides service in the hospital and not in a clinic setting.

Review From Susan L. I feel like I need to speak up for Sono Bello. I just had my procedure done on February 10, 2018. Here in Houston, it's an extremely nice office the people go out of their way to take care of you. My doctor was Dr. Atun one of the best doctors in the house and there were a variety of people ,that was his staff and they were fabulous. To name a few : Ms. Kat- is the head RN there- She is on -call for you and it felt good to have someone there at your call if needed Adrian and Amanda Jessica - helped me to get my financing together. Taryn and Maira were extremely open, down to earth and sensitive to what I felt. The RN- Don that assisted Dr. Atun. You hear all the horror stories but you have to experience things for yourself. Take your time and way things out and see if this is something that you would like. My goodness the results are phenomenal- amazing- I am so so pleased. So stop listening to everything you hear because 9 times out of 10 you will not experience the same thing as the next person. We are all different. Stand up and take a step for yourself- to feel good about yourself- to look good- to build your self-esteem- to build your confidence, because that is just what Sono Bello does

I have read reviews and checked the Sono Bello BBB profile. After doing my research, I decided to give them a call to validate what I was reading. Here's how the conversation went: Me: Good afternoon. I'd like to inquire about your procedures. SB Rep: Okay, go ahead (she was very pleasant) Me: Are your consultations done by medical professionals or sales reps? SB Rep: Our consultations are done by consultants. Me: Yes ma'am, but are they medically certified or licensed? SB Rep: They are knowledgeable consultants. Me: Yes ma'am, but are they medical professionals? SB Rep: They are not physicians. Me: Thank you. Enjoy your day. That was ALL I needed to hear before deciding that this company won't get a dime from me. Why? First, don't dance around my very simple question- it feels like a deceptive practice. Second, you cannot properly consult with me or advise me on a medical procedure if you have no formal medical training. There are too many great surgeons in Houston for me to settle with this 'drive thru' feel of a company. Sorry Sono! I did give 2 stars because the SB Rep was polite...
