I'm providing this review based on what my body looks like & the difficulty I've had with getting Sonobello to own up to or fix anything. Roughly 3 years ago I was in a near fatal bus accident; I barely survived. The accident hit my life like a wrecking ball and ended my 17 year military career. I put on 40ish pounds in a hurry. Given my permanent injuries I've been restricted by doctors to only walking, cycling, or yoga, "for LIFE". I entrusted Sonobello Tacoma with the task of making my body look as close to pre-accident form as possible. Sadly, I wasted roughly $8000 of money I received for my injuries on this nonsense. What a waste of part of the money I received due to having my life ruined. Dr. Marten was my doctor. First, I went in for a consult & met a lady who looked me over & assured me given my previous fitness level & fat placement they'd be able to make me look great. But when Dr. Marten cane in, his concern was a superficial blood clot in my leg. I had a radiology report stating it was harmless. Despite that, he delayed my procedure by 2 months while I waited for a referral and appointment with a hematologist. In my appt seeking referral, the doctor urged me not to let a doctor who couldn't read a simple radiology report operate on me. At the appt with the hematologist, she says the same thing; "are you sure you want to let someone operate on you that can't read this report." Despite 2 doctor's warning me, I went forward. During my procedure, 2 1/2 liters of fat were removed. For a person who weighed 270 pounds, 40 of which were surely fat, 2 1/2 liters is nothing. In comparison, I read a review where a woman who was 125 pounds had 2 1/2 liters of fat removed. At first I was optimistic and kept listening to them their "give it a whole 6 months" nonsense. I was sure after 30 days I'd been screwed and I have pics to prove it. So I moved to Texas 3 months after my procedure and requested to do my follow ups here. It took them almost 3 months to get me seen in Texas, which means they weren't able to track my progress properly. When I went to my appointment, my 6 months were over & it was clear the operation was bogus. Feedback I got from the care coordinator was that "sometimes doctors only take a little bit of fat out at a time to see how your body reacts; don't worry, we'll fix it", & "As long as you haven't gained 5% of your surgical weight, we'll fix it". So I go into Houston's Sonobello & swiftly get a wake up call. I was basically told that though they were the same company, they didn't have to help me. The Houston doctor was rude, & their coordinator advised me it'd be at the doctor's discretion because 1. They don't like fixing other doctor's mistakes, & 2. The doctor would be working for pennies because my original doctor got full pay. So I step on their scale & I think it said 283 pounds, compared to my post op of 272. I'm thinking "ok great, 11 pounds is definitely not 5% of 272". No such luck. Houston refused to work on me unless I lost all 11 pounds. They assure you fat cells don't regenerate. So if I had my upper/lower abs & more done, there would be no fat in those areas, right? So how can the Houston doc blame me for how my abs & chest look? If I'd gotten what I paid for those areas would look great & I wouldn't be in their office complaining. My belly hangs over from the side, & Ive now got droopy side breasts, which is something I've NEVER had. It's because he sucked a lot out of my chest but didn't suck enough out of the sides. Such BS! If they want to know why I gained 11 pounds they should listen to themselves. Their goal is to have you look in the mirror & like what you see, which in turn will motivate you to do the gym time requires to maintain the look. Well, when a person pays $8000, & looks in the mirror & sees they've been robbed, it has the opposite effect. At any rate, what does it matter because 11 pounds isn't 5% of my surgical weight. I have proof via pics that what they saw isn't a result of the "11 pounds". It's a failed op.
