#LSHope I received treatment for Lichen Sclerosus from Dr. Janssen and PA Kate - it wasn't particularly comfortable. I'm not mad. I'm so grateful to have found the groundbreaking procedure locally! No idea on the results quite yet but it's better than the treatment options I was presented by the conventional doctors. UPDATE: 10 days out and there is already noticeable improvement in my symptoms.

I had gynecomastia surgery about a year and half ago. I originally saw Dr. Doubek who recommended just lipo which I wasn't comfortable with because there was clearly enlarged gland. Also, he questioned me why I was coming to fox valley for this type of surgery. Apparently it wasn't something they did a lot of. After the initial consult I decided to try again with Dr. Janssen. I explained to him my concerns about the original and he was more then happy to give me his opinion/recommendations. We agreed that bud removal was needed along with lipo. I was still a little hesitant because at the time they didn't have any photos to back up their skill level. I was told that was because most men felt so terrible about their gyno they don't like photos being displayed. He said, I had an easy case and that I could expect a great results but no promises of course. So I took a leap of faith because I liked Dr. Janssen. Surgery was a breeze, and I was considerably happy with the intial results. At 4 months I was still pretty content when I had my final post op visit. Soon after though I seen some changes. Dr. Janssen addressed them and said that he could do a slight revision. The day of the revision he basically told me that it wouldn't change anything so I went home without it. I still wasn't completely satisfied but thought I could live with it. I did contact him one last time to come in and see if he could address some of the contour issues. At this point I kind of felt like a nuisance but I felt like I spent enough money there so It didn't bother me much. He suggested some botox stuff. At the end of the day I feel like he did his best but fell short of what most guys want out of gynecomastia surgery. I felt like as long as he was happy that's what mattered. I feel like after the surgery instead of dealing with the issues he became more of a salesmen for the job he did. I wish there would have been some reviews for this specific procedure when I had it done so I could have made a more informed decision on who did the surgery. The staff always seemed nice too, but there was always this feeling like I didn't belong in there. Just my experience and hopefully someone looking into can take consideration when picking a doctor for gynecomastia surgery.

Most horrible experience of my life. I had not one but four rhinoplasties done here due to the unprofessional work done by the surgeon. I paid $7,000 for my first rhinoplasty to just remove the hump from my nose. There was no change. It actually looked worse. Worst yet the surgeon barely would recognize his fault in the matter. My second revision I had the same poor result but was charged even more. They made me pay another $800 for my third rhino and I still had a hump. The surgeon said for him to do a better job he would have to put me asleep and charge another 3k...Over 10k paid to this business and the pain of going through surgery years of waiting all for a poor result. I made one last attempt to talk to the surgeon and his staff about why they could do this simple procedure of removing a hump. They said they would try one more time for another $3,000. Fox Valley Plastic Surgery is the most unethical place I have ever been serviced from. The surgeon I had was way sub par. My new surgeon corrected my nose Thank God. Please go anywhere but here for your cosmetic needs or may be as sorry as I was. In Response to Owner: I came to the Office one year following my latest revision. I let the surgeon know that a hump on my nasal bridge was still present. After spending that much money and time waiting for the poor results received it would have been nice to have been able to get a better deal or have the surgical fee waived like many practices do. I know its a business but I also know about making a wrong right for a customer who invested so much. Being a business owner myself I know that it isn't always about the bottom line. I wish I would have received this with your practice.
