I cannot say enough about this practice. Dr. Kisner is an outstanding professional and brilliant plastic surgeon. I had a breast lift and tummy tuck and am completely happy. He took the time to explain the procedures to me and answered all of my questions. My recovery was quick and I was impressed with the attention given to me during all of my follow up appointments. His staff is wonderful. They are very kind and make an effort to know their patients by first name. When I phoned to make my additional appointment I was asked how I heard of the practice (which was through a number of friends). In my opinion, the best kind of advertising is advertising through word of mouth. I'm glad I chose Dr. Kisner.

Dr. Kisner did a mini facelift on me 20 yrs. ago, followed by a laser procedure. Was happy with the facelift, however, the laser that was used was such a deep laser, my face blew up like a large pumpkin. He told me that was normal. What he didn't tell me was that the lasered area was going to be lighter than the rest of my face, forever, and that it stimulated oil glands and from the time of the procedure till the present, 20 yrs. I have had an acne problem that I have to treat daily with acne medication and even when treated, I still break out. Also, the area that was lasered, like a 3rd degree burn, will not absorb makeup, so that I can't even cover up the acne.

I went to Dr. Kisner and I can definitely say the man will be completely honest with you and not try to just get money off you. If he doesn't think you need the surgery, he will even tell you so which is a really hard thing to find. It's nice to go to a doctor and not be BSed to death. The nurses and office staff were equally as nice and down to earth.

I would never recommend Dr. Kisner to anyone who is considering cosmetic surgery. I have known Dr. Kisner for a number of years now and he ruined my lower lids, my abdomen and flanks. I have realistic goals and expectations and I know what good cosmetic surgery looks like and Dr. Kisner is not the greatest cosmetic surgeon. Let me honestly describe my plastic surgery experience with Dr. Kisner. I had liposuction of my abdomen and flanks a few years ago. I was not overweight; I just had localized areas of fat which needed work on. The results of the surgery are a disaster. He did a revision and made it look worse. I know the body changes over time, however I exercise and eat very healthy and I maintain the same normal weight year after year. I now have indents and depressions left from this botched surgery. When I go to the beach I do not feel comfortable taking my shirt off. A year ago I decided to get a lower lid blepharoplasty done since I had bulging fat and just a bit of loose skin under my lower lids. After doing plenty of research I was going to choose one of New York cities top cosmetic surgeons instead of Dr. Kisner. I had seen dr. Kisner a couple of times before I made a decision and my gut feeling was not to have him do the surgery, but at the end I decided to choose Dr. Kisner because I could not afford NY’s top surgeon and that was the only reason why I had him do my lower lids. I was assured by Dr. Kisner that the problem areas of the lower lids would be improved. It has been a year now and I am extremely dissatisfied with the outcome of the surgery. He took too much skin away on my left lower lid and the bulging fat that was there to begin with is still there now. My lower lids look horrible. At one of my post op appointments, in a poorly lit room, in one of the presidential suites at the Waldorf Astoria Towers I told him that I was not happy with the results. He offered a “quick fix” of injecting cortisone under my lower lids. When I told him that I didn’t feel comfortable with that he became extremely hostile and unpleasant towards me and told me to see another doctor. I then told him that money does not grow on trees and I couldn’t afford to see another surgeon. 12 months post op, I saw an occuloplastic surgeon and told him that Dr. Kisner wanted to inject cortisone under my lower lids and he began to laugh. I have written and federal expressed Dr. Kisner a letter 5 months ago and I never received a response back. In addition a couple of his staff members, particularly one by the name of Kathy was rude, unprofessional and unpleasant. When I told her that I was not happy with the surgery she obnoxiously responded by telling me it was a scalpel Dr. Kisner used and not a magic wand. What is very difficult for me is that it took me years to save up for the surgery and I should have listened to my gut feeling and decided to go with another surgeon, one that was very skillful and that had a pleasant staff. There is a fine line between being conservative, ultra conservative not skillful enough and Lazy. Also do not let his once a month posh presidential suite at the waldorf towers fool you. Throughout the years Dr. Kisner has proved to me that he is just a purely lazy, non caring and non skillful plastic surgeon. One of the worst cosmetic surgeons. I have lost all trust in this awful lazy surgeon. Anyway I don’t blame him, I blame myself for choosing Dr. Kisner to do the botched surgeries and I will never recommend him to anyone.
