An amazing surgeon. Dr. Thimmappa was a great help to me through treatment and reconstructive surgery.

She was very attentive to my wants and needs. I am extremely satisfied with my procedure. S he explained exactly what she would do, and what to expect.

My wife and I were recently referred to this person following a motor vehicle accident. My wife is a breast cancer survivor and we had concerns regarding obvious visual changes to her reconstruction post impact. We waited and went to our appointment with much anxiety regarding something so intimate and psychologically traumatic. At first encounter, this person seemed agitated that another person was in the room with “the patient” and did not have any idea why we were there- either she had not taken the time to review my wife’s chart, or the information had not been provided to her(red flag, people). Within minutes it was clear we were to receive no help. From my personal experience I can only echo the sentiments that have previously been reported... She was rude, dismissive and disengaged. She did not listen, was without empathy and only repeated the same things over and over, no matter how the question was posed. It was a horrible experience that I would not recommend to anyone. Absolutely disgraceful in comparison to what I have previously experienced of the Wake Medical Health System...and personally infuriating. You’re more likely to get PTSD before you get help from her. Good luck. *Since the original posting, we received a copy of a bill submitted to insurance from this woman. In it she claims to have spent 60-75 minutes with us but, the audio recording I made of our brief interaction is less than 15 minutes from the time she enters & leaves. We are reporting her to the insurance company, the AMA and, the State of North Carolina for fraud.

Dr. Thimmappa was great. She explained everything she was going to do before the surgery. Answered all questions. During the procedure she was funny talked to me to make sure I was calm. She is very friendly. She explained exactly what would happen to me after surgery and what I may look like so I knew what to expect. Follow up was easy and her work was excellent.
