I just graduated from Accelerated in May and I spent three years in the high school with the best teachers I have ever had. Just this week ALL of the wonderful teachers and supporting faculty have been let go at the discretion of the director, Jane Queen. I have spoken about this with members of the school board and they were not even aware of what was happening. The worst part is, Jane Queen is flat out lying to the many parents who have questioned her about this. These teachers and faculty DID NOT LEAVE BY THEIR OWN DECISION. There are already new hires, many of whom are just barely out of high school and do not have teaching certificates, or any degree at all. As an alumni of Accelerated I can tell you that this school has been slowly going to the dogs for as long as I was there, this is really just the tipping point. I would advise prospective parents and students to really think about whether this is the right school for your child or children.

This school is DANGEROUS! I attended this school from 8th to 10th grade (2003-2005). While I was there, students fought regularly and uninterrupted by teacher intervention, and had sexual contact on field trips; even on the van rides to and from school. The classroom setting is a joke - we listened to cassette tapes and took notes, there were no tests, no lectures, no teacher involvement. Teachers here are like wardens; they observe and discipline ONLY. My parents had many concerns about what was going on at school, and were constantly talking to the administration about the conditions of the building and quality of the educational atmosphere. At the beginning of my 10th grade year, there was an incident in which one student attacked another with a knife - the assailant lacerated the victim's hand badly IN CLASS! There was blood everywhere, and when the victim cried out in pain and terror, the teachers fled the building with the students; it was a free-for-all. You'd expect the adults to defend the students, particularly the one who was injured but that didn't happen. Please, I implore you... DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN TO THIS SCHOOL.

If you care about your child's education even in the slightest don't send them to Accelerated Schools. I attended this school in 2015. And when I first started going there, there was only one teacher that truly cared about my education (Crystal Johnson). In the rest of my classes my classmates and myself would literally only watch Netflix all day. And the teachers said absolutely nothing even though they obviously knew what we were doing. We had this one art teacher who eventually got promoted to being a history teacher even though she knew very little about history. Several weeks after her promotion we were having a class and this same teacher got so angry at a student that she got in his face and stormed out of the class never to return. That's the type of environment your student will be subjected to. Though I must admit half way through my first year they hired a set of new teachers who were wonderful because some of the others one left. Crystal, Matt, and Dan were seriously awesome, but of course all three of them were just recently "let go." Along with several other members of accelerateds staff. Don't let Jane Queens sweet old lady look fool you. Please do your research before even considering sending your child here, I sure know my mom regrets it.

Jane Queen is a lady of business who's last concern is the quality of environment provided at her school. Accelerated schools is fueled by lies and misleading promises. When staff stands up to the outrageous administrative proceedings of the school they are let go. It is about pocketing the money of the parents for the administration of Accelerated. My parents regret sending me here.
