Same as The children's school of art and science.

From the moment my daughter met these teachers when she was just 5 years old, she knew this was the school she wanted to go to. She is now 8 years old, in the 3rd grade and will still tell you this is the only school she wants to go to! It is an extremely nurturing environment where every day moments become teaching moments; I love how these teachers find a way to find connections in all that the children do to not only strengthen their understanding but give them the lifelong skillset of making relational connections on their own. This school isn’t about forcing children to conform to a set of standards or a strict plan but is about bending the education to fit how children learn best. In the early years it really is about providing a safe trusting environment where children are comfortable trying new things and secure enough to know it is ok to have to try several times before they really master it. A warm nurturing atmosphere, integrated studies including theater performances, music, yoga, art and the philosophy that each student is a scientist in their own right with questions to be asked and explored. As the children transition from lower elementary to upper you will see how the foundation the teachers have built for the students really supports them as they evolve into a more academic (still very hands on/explorative) phase of learning.

I am a proud dad of a thriving kindergartner in the Children's School and highly recommend the school. There are so many things they get right at the Children's school that there are too many to list here. If you are looking for something better than public schools with smaller class sizes and an innovative curriculum, then you should definitely put the Children's school on your list. The teachers will meet with you and your child one on one to help you determined if the Children's school really is the best fit for your child. One thing that stands out as really refreshing about the curriculum is the focus on the interests and motivations of my daughter. The teachers manage to really connect with her and then redirect her curiosity into the specific area of study. This school is definitely worth looking into for any K-5 parent.

This is an incredible school. Barbara, Julia and Theodore have taught both of my children and they both have learned so much from them. The Children's School is based on meaning, relationship and self-awareness. Having these three amazing, caring, dedicated and warm teachers in their lives is the best gift I can give them.

I've been very blessed to have my 2 children attend this school. Julia, Theodore, and Barbara are caring, engaging, fun, welcoming, sensitive, loving, intelligent - everything I want for my children. It feels like a second home to me.
