My four daughters all attended this school. The teachers and aides have always provided excellent education and a safe, supportive environment. The students also receive swimming lessons at the local pool, have field trips and a weekly hot lunch option. This school is supported by several volunteers who have taught the kids a variety of electives such as sewing, small engine repair, stained glass art and baking. This year, 2017-18, the tuition is greatly reduced to provide families with a very affordable Christian School experience. I am very pleased with the the current teacher and aide, my children excelled last year and I know they will this school year.

This school is awesome. Low student to teacher ratio and the teacher is fully certified and has a batchelor degree in teaching. This is not a home school program. My kids loved it!

I attended this school as did my children. The teachers are wonderful. The tuition is $315 per month on par with other private Christian schools. The teachers are also certified. Please check the school out for yourself.

There is always 2 sides to a story. Mr Parmalay would make the children run laps. I remember being sent to the principles office. He got the long wooden paddle off the wall and took me to the bathroom were I got my but whooped. That was the last time that ever happened to me as I never misbehaved again. Seems everybody's quick to judge. Me thinks kids mistreating Teachers these days.

In 2009 my husband was transferred from Oregon to Alaska for his job. We decided to have our daughter attend the Golden Heart Christian School for first grade. We had no family and did not know anyone. We were members of the Church so it seemed only right to have her schooled where we thought it would be like family. How wrong we were. This school scarred my daughter. The teacher Mr. Parmalay was rude and mean and nasty to her. And he was from where I lived in Oregon. The video shows a wonderful picture of how the school "should" be. However, during 2009 it was NOTHING like that. My daughter was trying to transition to being away from all of our family and grandma and grandpa. The school offered no compassion, or empathy or sympathy. Our daughter was homesick and trying to adjust to the Alaska lifestyle. Mr. Parmalay would make her go outside and just run laps when he got mad at her if she did not "respond" the way he wanted her to. It is 2013 and my daughter still refuses to attend any church school of any kind. When she told Mr. Parmalay we were going back to Oregon he told her she was a liar and good riddance. That was the last time she saw him. The next day we were on a plane. She still remembers those cold words as if they were yesterday. I would never let my child attend this school if I lived in Alaska again. AND it was almost $400 a month for my daughter to attend.
