Overall, this school is very great in their religious foundation. The idea of going to las once a week is good for the child's faith. But in terms of bullying, it is not very good. They take care of the bullying, but never punish the bullies. My son was bullied by the same person for a whole 2 years and the bully kept on getting chances, even since his kindergarten year from what I am told. Also, the curriculum taught is VERY behind. My child was sent there already knowing all of the processes (Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, and Division), But when he went there in third grade, they were JUST learning how to add thousands. If you want you kid to be so far behind in learning, go ahead and do it. I strongly suggest to stay in public school if you don't want your child to be bullied.

I have to completely agree with the other reviews about this school. The bullying and favoritism is awful! I sent my child to this school for the character education not the academic education and I have been completely disappointed! I would not recommend this school to anyone!

This school really wasn't the best experience for me. Half the teachers don't even remember you unless you're a teacher's kid. Guess what? that really sucks. But not just that but a lot of bullying goes on and they don't do much to put a stop to it. There's a new principle this year so it could be different but I don't know. I didn't like it here and my future children won't go here. But, they do have a good religious foundation. They teach you the Catholic faith and that's usually what its all about. Just socially? no.

This school is great if you like bullies. The Sister in charge has no clue. They say it's a Catholic school, but the kids can be really mean. The children of the staff members get all the glory, and everyone else can go pound salt. The priest in charge is'nt much help.

Don't you wish your children will grow with a foundation preparing them to deal with life's challenges? I had my doubts as well, but this school does exactly that: -academic: at least 1 year ahead of the other schools in the area and consistently rank above their diocesan schools in ITBS scores -focus: High School feedback notes the students from SMB are prepared with disciplined organization and focus -Values and Faith: if the above was not enough, this solidified it for me as a parent. To sum up what happens in terms of Values and Faith, you must visualize a child's footsteps right behind that of the sandals footsteps of Jesus. -Community: the community support for the school and the kids support of the community is what makes this such a great school. -Cost: it's called Student Tuition or Catholic Education Arizona - contribute your tax dollars effectively, doesn't cost you a dime. Disclaimer: I am a parent of SMB students and Catholic. But it was not just the academics that sold me, it was that foundation seen in my kids that influenced me to drop the emptiness of atheist and secular influences for the freedom of Christianity.
