Love this place and the staff. This place does not feel corporate. My daughter, my husband and I love this place. My daughter started here when she was 3 months. She is 17 month now and it has ben great to see her change with the help of Primrose staff.

I worked here for a brief moment loved the kids but the employees our horrible. All they do is gossip behind closed doors & parents if you think they dont talk bad about you and your kids think again... They scream at the kids to "scare them" & let them cry there eyes out wants the parents leave the door. Eww completely disgusted with the way the employees truly act one reason why my kid will never attend child care.

I have two children that have been attending the Primrose School of Ahwatukee for 3 years. We could not be happier than we are with this school. We came from another daycare center, and have been amazing at the difference in the attitude and education of our children. They look forward to coming to school each day and are sometimes even upset to leave in the afternoon. This is very comforting as a parent. I love that I know what they are doing each day and how attentive and passionate the teachers are. A daily report is sent home each day letting me know how both of my children did, which makes time at home in the evening much smoother. I also appreciate how involved and caring the management members are. Each person in the front office knows the name of every child in the school and seems to take a genuine interest in them. You can tell that they are very involved in the classrooms during the day because the children cannot leave in the afternoon without getting a sticker and saying goodbye to everyone up front. We love Primrose and could not imagine being anywhere else!

Word of Advice: When you call for a tour of the school ask if your child's age group is full to begin with. I called the school for a tour and they were polite and prompt. They asked the age of my child so they could figure what class I would be seeing and then scheduled my family for an appointment. We arrived the next day and the owner showed us around the facility, which was informative, and very impressive. Upon ending she told us that she thought their was a wait list for his class until the end of June but needed to confirm tomorrow (which is today). I called today to find out what the status was as I was ready to enroll my child when I was told the wait list was until around october...I then asked why I was giving a tour for a facility that has no availability for 6 months. I then decided, that the school might be worth the wait so to please put me on the wait list. I was then told by the enrollment person Ms. P(cant remember her exact last name Petrowski maybe) that they would need me to fill out a pre-registration form and give $100 non-refundable fee. I wouldn't mind giving the registration fee if I had a confirmed start date. However, just like any other private school you have to sign a contract and a commitment and pay registration fees...Asking for a deposit when you don't have a start date confirmed is ridiculous as well, it isn't about the $100 but you would give a security deposit on an apartment to not know when your moving in. Bottom line: school looks wonderful. Customer service in my opinion was not appropriate I don't appreciate my time being wasted to be turned away. They should tell you ahead of time there is a wait list and then you can decide whether you still want to see it or not.

Originally visited the facility and it made a great impression. Decided to try it out during my maternity leave to see if we'd place our son there full time upon my return to work in October. The actions by the owner during the first week indicated that this may not be the best place for our child. We explicitly requested that he would be placed in a class with his anchor friend to ensure a smooth transition into the school. Our needs were discounted even after we've attempted to communicate the importance of slow transitions to our son, his need for a consistent environment and the many changes that our son was dealing with at the moment to the owner. The statement that stayed with me was -- " I need to do what is best for the whole class rather than your individual child." To ensure that we were not overreacting, we decided to give the school a three month trial to see how things progress. Consequently, we will be taking our son out of at the end of this month. We are severely disappointed. During the past three months kids in his class were moved constantly; teachers failed to communicate to us that there were issues and the administrative staff clearly demonstrated that they do not care for the well-being of our child. The owner actually went as far as to attempt to justify pulling our 4 year old child from the classroom and placing him on a bench for 40 minutes because his father picked him up 10 minutes later the previous day than the agreed upon time. He sat there the whole time next to the office thinking that he's in deep trouble but not sure what he did wrong. When confronted about this on the following drop-off day, rather than rectifying the situation the owner had the audacity to excuse her actions because she THOROUGHLY explained what she was doing to our son. What the hell she thought she explained to the 4 year old kid is unclear. He was sad and very anxious when we picked him up. Although our son was very excited about the school at the onset, with each week it became harder to convince our son to go to school in the morning. Disconcertingly our son stopped looking forward to attending this daycare after 2 months. We've inquired about his progress and behavior daily. He likes his teacher, yet things transpired (discipline and other) that neither he nor we particularly liked. Unfortunately we were not informed of most of the incidents by the staff but found out from other children's parents and then had to breach the topic with the teacher or administration. We were looking for a home away from home for our son while he is in the care of others. Unfortunately, after three months it became clear that Primrose of Awhatukee is NOT a caring and nurturing environment for our child. Instead of a high quality preschool it turned out to be an average and therefore overpriced daycare (we were paying $400 for 8 half-days per month) ran by non-caring and inflexible administration. Based on our experience I highly recommend that parents explore other options offered in the Awhatukee area.
