Our family has been incredibly fortunate to have had both our children attend St. Mark’s Preschool and Kindergarten. As well as being a mom, I am also a teacher and have high expectations for the school we leave our children at each morning. The teachers and staff at St. Mark's have well exceeded these expectations by creating an environment that is both nurturing and engaging. Although my children have two very different personalities and learning styles they have both thrived and grown at St. Mark’s. The teachers here have a strong understanding that each child is unique. They are masters at providing authentic learning experiences that engage and motivate each child and know how to use their natural curiosity to develop an excitement about the world around them. I have also been impressed by the wide variety of art, music, and cultural experiences that my children have been exposed to through field trips, concerts, plays and enrichment classes. St. Mark's is more than just a school for our family, it has provided us with a community that we trust and love.

My 3 year old daughter was there for just a month and it was not what I expected. I got high recommendation for this preschool. From the first day the Office Manager spoke to me with a tone and told me that I would had to take out my daughter. Because of her misunderstanding. She did apologized. Because of that I decided to give the school another chance because we are human we do forget things. My daughter was very happy at first. Then I started noticing that my daughter was acting out and it was mainly towards her main Teacher. To make this long story short. If they remove that Teacher in the Giraffes I would of probably kept my daughter their. And when I give them my two week noticed which they didn't not deserve. The Director did not even care to ask or solve the problem. I do not recommend this school!

I am honored to work at such a great school. I love early childhood education and I think St. Mark's is a remarkable school for young children. It has a play-based model through which children learn, grow, and have fun. Most of the staff have been at the school many years and I love working along side each one of them.

My son looks forward to going every day. The teachers and staff take their jobs seriously and help the children learn and have fun. Spanish classes, Music and Movement and take-home library books are all included. The kids also work in the garden when the weather cools off. My boy wasn't unhappy in traditional daycare, but he was never excited about preschool like he is now. For working parents, it is a bit of extra effort. Be prepared to pack all the kids' food and participate in some fund-raising. The hours are also a little bit shorter than daycare, even with extended day. But I really think it's worth it. For us, the tuition cost is pretty close to what we were paying for daycare.

My child has been here for three years and we have been impressed by the dedication and passion of the staff. There is an exceedingly low turnover in staff which is indicative of the cohesiveness of the staff and the administration. They respond to parents, and always put kids first. This is NOT daycare. This is preschool. The teachers have extensive early childhood education backgrounds and it shows in their work. Several of the classrooms draw heavily upon the Reggio Emilia approach which has demonstrated success. An older friend recommended this school when we were looking as she had sent her two now grown children there and said it was the best part of their education experience. I took that with a pinch of salt, but now have to say that I would be ecstatic if the rest of my child's education experience was like this. The St.Mark's Presents Arts program is fabulous - There is a new gymnastics program that is amazing too. We hate to leave our St.Mark's family, but will be back with the younger child.
