The faculty is fantastic, and personally I've grown a lot as a person, but some of the students are extremely problematic. I've been bullied two out of the three years I have been here. The girls at this school are the main problem, the boys are actually quite polite and nice, but the girls have been very homophobic and rude while I've been here. I would recommend this school for someone that fits in well with other kids, but if your child doesn't, send them somewhere else.

Amazing school. My granddaughter started this fall. It is a caring and nurturing school that offers individual attention for each child. She loves it! We are very pleased.

Writing from personal experience, HSES stands apart from other schools. We love the learning environment and the teachers are stellar! Through its actions, HSES administration has demonstrated a strong desire for our daughter to succeed in more than academics, but also in her social skills and guiding her to mature emotionally. As a Mom, it is a comforting feeling when I leave her every morning in the care of her teachers, knowing she is in a nurturing, safe, spirit-filled setting, while at the same time she is receiving the powerful preparation for her future. I recommend HSES to those families seeking more than a "one-size fits all" or "cookie-cutter" learning environment.
