I just read the ONE bad review given on this school and cannot believe it. My daughter goes to CCJDS and absolutely loves it. Just like the child mentioned in the poor review - we put our daughter here after extreme bullying at her former school. What she found was acceptance, guidance and friendship. CCJDS is a home away from home - a community and a school - not to mention the fantastic education and spiritual element. I look forward to the years to come at CCJDS, and I cannot wait until my younger child is ready for her K-8 at CCJDS. We simply could not have asked for a better school or a better fit. If you are looking for a Jewish Day School in the Bay Area, I strongly recommend you come and tour.

My children have attended CCJDS Kindergarten-8th grade -- my daughter is currently a freshman in high school and my son is in 8th grade. Both have thrived in so many ways in the CCJDS school community. Academically they are strong students. The school knows and works with each child to make sure they are learning and being challenged. Socially and emotionally the school supports their growth. The small community is warm and provides a very comfortable place for my children to learn and mature. I would recommend this school to any family who wants an academically strong school with fantastic faculty, Jewish values, Jewish education and a wonderful parent community.

This is an excellent school--academically, socially, religiously, and, even, athletically. My child transferred from another Jewish day school, in the SF Bay area, and we are astounded at how different two populations of children and their parents can be. The environment is one of joy but calm at CCJDS. The curriculum is excellent (my child learned virtually no Hebrew or Jewish studies at her old school and is now able to recount historical, cultural, and religious learning with passion, competence, and confidence). As well, her Hebrew competence has soared. The math curriculum is excellent as is the Science and English and History. The community is very inclusive, and the school has a zero tolerance for bullying or any social cruelty. The teachers are very organized and gifted at what they do. And they are vigilant about behavior, which we appreciate. Furthermore, they seem very committed to helping their students organize themselves. The community runs the gamut between Reformed and Conservative. Finally, CCJDS may be the only Jewish day school, in the area, which offers Spanish, which my child is thoroughly mastering and enjoying. The middle school curriculum is appropriately rigorous, and the CCJDS grads are very prepared for a rigorous high school. It's a really special place, and the physical plant (new) is lovely.
