I have a 3.5 year old and 6 month old, with the 3.5 year old having been at this preschool/daycare since 4 months old. As a an earlier reviewer mentioned, there was a change in staff a couple years ago and the school is great. The two main teachers in the youngest infant room have not changed in 3 years and there are a few preschool teachers that have also been there for a very long time. All the primary caregivers we've had experiences with have been wonderful, attentive, and very caring to our children. They take the time to communicate with me when things are going well, or not so well. Both my kids seem very happy and the 3.5 year old has never once complained. There are days when my 3.5 year old doesn't want to leave my side at drop off (which has gone on since she was 2) and one of the teachers always comes over to make her smile or laugh, then takes her hand and leads her away without a fight or tears. I can't express enough how appreciative I am of that kind of attentiveness.

Action Day MV has been an excellent experience for our two children ages 3 and 6mo. The older child has been there since 3.5 months. Being a father of two children and being acutely aware of some of the awful things adults can do to children, I was especially cautious when investigating day care options with my wife. From the start, the teachers showed an honest interest in caring for our children. They maintain regular communication with us regarding even the slightest of issues. We passed up a different day care option which was much more convenient because of the good experiences we had visiting. Between having a variety of fun and educational activities and being located at a park, we always feel that our children are getting an excellent daily experience involving outdoors and socialization that we couldn't provide ourselves. Additionally, it is located literally a quarter mile down the road from El Camino hospital in case of an emergency. Highly recommend. They also have other locations depending on where you live.

Get comfortable. This could take a while. I have two kids currently enrolled at ADPP in Mountain View. My daughter is in the Jr. K class and my son is in the infant center. Both have been there since they were 3 months old. And both have had wonderful experiences there. My daughter has adored every teacher. Not only have they been filling her brain with all kinds of good stuff, the teachers are sooo warm and loving. (That goes for the primary care-givers as well as the floaters/helpers!!) The teachers know all of the kids and always have a friendly greeting for you. They have an infinite amount of patience that is balanced with firm discipline when necessary. My daughter has always been a bit clingy at drop-off time. The teachers all know this and quietly observe as we say our good-byes. They know when things are not looking good and will swoop in to manage the situation and allow me to get off to work. I have so appreciated this over the last five years! My son has a completely different personality. He is so excited to play that he does not care when I drop him off. He has had equally awesome experiences with his teachers in the one year he has been there. Not only do they love on him, they are so resourceful. I am confident that they can handle any situation! It certainly would not occur to me to dip chicken or peas in yogurt to get my kid to eat. :) Academically, there is no doubt that my daughter is totally prepared for kindergarten in the fall (and probably would have been fine without even going through the Jr. K program). She really enjoys the variety of things they have exposure to in the Jr. K class – music, science, cooking, etc. Even when there are non-academic weeks, the kids are still learning and have other enrichment opportunities as well as special treats like movies. I really feel like ADPP offers a well-rounded program that allows kids to learn but also have tons of fun. I think we have seen a lot of improvements in the school over the years. Within the first several months of our daughter starting, there was 100% turnover in the management of the school. As new parents, we found this a little alarming at first, but since we knew two families that had been there for a few years, we stayed the course. It seems like communication with parents improved and there has been more enforcement of school policies and better organization. I could probably ramble on about more stuff, but at the end of the day, I am blessed with two very happy kids. And my husband and I cannot take all of the credit for this. We do the best we can as parents, but ADPP fills in when we can’t be there. Did I mention that the teachers are super awesome?!

This is for their preschool and daycare program. The number of children there is staggering!!! My children were not well attended and my daughters diaper was changed ONCE in 8 hours! My potty trained son pooped his underwear and has a rash on his bottom because he was allowed to sit in it for god knows how long before they took his underwear, pants and socks and stuffed them all into a bag without removing the feces, which could have easily been emptied into the toilet. Why on Earth would you send my child home with a bag of his own feces?! Niether of my children, (who are excellent nappers,) were able to take a nap at this over crowded, noise filled, understaffed daycare. HORRIBLE!!!
