This school is a very bad school. They say they are a "private school" but they are far from that standard. This school made a completely capable kid go to the non-advanced math class because a few of his other subjects' grades were at B- level. Even so, the kid got into the school's math club. The club teaches advanced level math such as the problems from Math Olympiad and AMC 8-10. The kid could easily do these problems. Even so, the school did not let him go into the advanced math class. I do not recommend this school to someone who is looking for the best interests for their children.

The school starts too early (7:45), and every day there would be kids coming to school with dark circles under their eyes. Other schools start at 8:30 or 8:45. The school ends at 2:50, which is basically the same time other schools end at. Extended care is basically a ripoff because you pay about $1000 a month, but they still encourage you to sign up for clubs (Clubs are from 3:15-4:15), so...? Kids are perverts and they already think about dating. Some classes are so crazy that they start shipping their classmates with one another.

Positive: great teachers, who know what they're doing and care to help every kid succeed. Communication is very smooth - all assignments and grades are posted in a parent portal, and all teachers can be reached via email. So-so: curriculum is certainly more ambitious than public schools, but there are more academically aggressive schools out there. (That said, for our kid's needs it's a perfect fit.) Negative: payment for after-school care is mandatory (but not attendance). Supposedly there are clubs (e.g., drama, engineering, math, sports) for the students, but that seems a bit of a scam - most clubs are so overbooked that they either happen per trimester (i.e., your student gets to spend only 1/3 of the school year in the club), or have try-outs (forget about basketball if your kid is short).

This school is the WORST OUT OF THE WORST. They use Hapara (which is a website that tracks what you're doing on your school account), which means they can track what you're doing at home and see EVERYTHING YOU DO (Hapara tracks if you have another account). New students here won't be treated very warmly on their first day at school here. When a former student went here, she reported that kids in her class were perverts and already start talking about dating each other, and they're in 7TH GRADE. When one boy left for home, his older brother's crush would follow him out and watch him go home. These kids are getting into relationships too young, and the kids here are CREEPY. Don't even join the drama club. When I was here, some students got the most hurtful "feedback" from the teacher. Kids in the "main cast" get to go to Starbucks at the end of the year. The ensemble? Nah. Because they're "nothing".
