Our family has been a Laurel Hall family since 2009. This will be our last year at the school as my daughter will be graduating 8th grade. Our experience has been nothing short but amazing. The community, teachers, staff and parents have made my daughter prepared for high school. Our middle school has undergone many changes and I feel it is the strongest ever! Our new principal, Jay Guidetti has really made positive impact to our school and I am so excited to see what he has for the future. He is very involved in the classrooms observing teachers and students. He greets all families in the morning and always makes time for meetings. Pastor Marty has also made a huge impact in our community. He is kind, warm and is so great with the kids and parents. This school is a GEM!

My 3 kids all began at the Laurel Hall Early Childhood Center and my oldest is about to go into 8 th grade. The school is like family. All of the teachers know and love my kids. At the annual homecoming event, I always see alumni come back to visit. I have always felt safe and at peace having my kids in the hands of the wonderful faculty. The classes are small and focused. The kids here are confident and respectful. The older kids are always so great with the younger kids. They are taught to stand up and give presentations, speak and sing infront of the whole school and to find the things that interest them. Academically they are very well prepared to get into the high school of their choice. The school offers a wonderful music and art program, protect based learning in the project lab, great extra experiences like mock trial and different field trip experiences which teach personal independence every year. Best of all, Pastor Marty from Emmanuel Lutheran Church, which is part of the school community, is an amazing person and mentor. You have to meet him and his wonderful wife Laurie! Marty is such a positive amazing role model for these kids and they all love him! In this day and age I feel blessed to have kids surrounded by such positive loving peoples in a safe environment to really learn. I could list out the teachers there that alway go above and beyond but that would be just about the whole faculty!! I am not exaggerating. Go tour the school.

Disorganized administration and a hostile environment. After working here, I would never recommend this school to anyone. It is a revolving door of teachers because administration is demeaning and malicious towards staff and even parents. This is why I left, along with many others. I heard it used to be a great school but now I am sad to say I ever worked there.

This school is in a residential neighborhood and at 7 am they do a drumline waking up everyone who works late. I tried calling an administrator and no one answers so I leave messages. They try to call back and hang up immediately like a prank call. Very immature. I find this very disruptive to my day and a disturbance to the peace and invasion of my roommate and I's privacy. If they can't move the drumline to a more reasonable hour I may take them to court. For lack of leadership and for being ever so inconsiderate to their neighbors I give this school one star.
