Some teachers are just amazing. Some not so much.

I have no idea what other people comment about St. Augustine but this is a great school. As a former student of St. Augustine, I felt blessed to be at this school because of just the staff, parish, and community. I felt lucky to have my teachers, like Ms. Doody, she was the best teacher I ever had and she tries the hardest to get 8th graders ready for high school. Now I wasn't the best student at this school but it certainly prepared me for high school. I had great experiences at this school and I will never forgot those memories. St. Augustine is truly a great place to get a good education, make friends, and have a great time at.

Ms. Cummings is the rudest secretary I've ever met. She was brusque and abrupt and treated me like a Welfare mother. I paid for the summer fee and then was told that I had to pay 2 separate checks for the fall semester....not that it was a problem but her attitude and deameanor was like someone who was Paying me. She was condescending and when I asked her why she was speaking to me so sharply she ignored me and asked, "Can you pay or not?" Like, wow. Later in the day I went to my dentist's office and the receptionist related that both assistants are rude. Mr. Mezey is nice and he tries but why put up with these witches? I stopped payment on the check and I collected my son and left the premises. This incident shows me the arrogance of the people of the church that people have no choice but to place their child there. I am a teacher and I would never speak to a parent the way I was spoken to and I would certainly be happy that a parent was enrolling their child into my classes. I can only imagine how she and the other secreatary treat shy parents. I will never go back to this school. The church is lovely, the school is good, because of the teachers but the administration is awful and really lacking in kindness. Not what I expect from a Christian organization. Considering a Protestant school. Inviting and loving and not cold and indifferent. Don't bring your child here if you want to be treated like a human being. Call and ask a question just to see what I mean. Terrible customer service. Awful Christian guidance. I feel sad beause I want the best for my son. This IS NOT it.

St. Augustine has been a great school for my daughter. She has been challenged academically and has grown into a thoughtful and caring person due in large part to the wonderful teaching staff there. The teachers go out of their way to make sure every child is given a chance to succeed. I was slightly hesitant at first to send my daughter here because I wasn't sure if she would enjoy attending a Catholic school. As it turns out, she has embraced it wholeheartedly. She loves it.

St. Augustine hires teachers without proper credentials. Most of teachers and teachers aides get parents to believe they are qualified; however most of them have no experience or knowledge. Don't waste your money on this school. Principal tries to work hard but has no influence over the staff
