If you're looking for quality care and education for your preschooler, this is the place. My wife and I have been sending our daughter there for the past two years, and we love and appreciate Merryhill more each day. On top of the solid educational foundation, the teachers and administrators truly care for each child and get to know them personally. They almost become part of your family! If you're a nervous parent looking for a good place for your child, the search is over.

We adore this school and it's employees. Our son started attending Merryhill at age 2. We have had nothing but excellent experiences here and it has exceeded our expectations. Our son has thrived here and it shows. His vocabulary is amazing compared to other children his age. He consistently brings home art projects from class and we get daily reports on what he ate, didn't eat, what he read, etc. He learns so much there it's hard to keep up with what he is doing each day! They have a set curriculum and they send home information on what they are learning, which letters or words in Spanish that they are learning (they teach English and Spanish) and we get a newsletter from the principle of the school. He went through potty training there and I didn't really feel like we even went through potty training! He just really went along with the class and the teachers really worked with him and it was just easy at home and I'm sure it's because they worked with him all day. If he misbehaves or isn't listening the teachers tell us so we can work with our child at home. This is important because there are times that our son may be upset about something at home (like grandma visited for a couple of months and then left and he was upset) that affect him at school and this communication with the school lets us work through these things. Also if he is hurt at school we get a little boo boo report telling us what happened and what they did to treat him, etc. Overall the communication is key and they are amazing at it. We always know what he is doing and when he did it. We work with him at home on things and we try to pair with what is going on at school. The school also does extra things like gymnastics, book fairs and they have two picture days a year. The teachers are amazing and we have never had a bad experience with a single teacher or worker there. The principle is great too. She is obviously a great leader there and has made this school into an amazing place to send your child. They have early drop off and late pickup times (6:30 a.m. - 6 p.m.) so for those like myself who get out at 5 p.m. it's very convenient. To end this review I just want to say that what I like the most is the perfect balance of education, fun, art, naps, play, etc.... and that they do it with such perfect structure. Our son loves his school and his teachers and if we can't be home with him everyday I want to know he likes the teachers and the place he spends his day.

Merryhill in Santa Rosa is awesome! There are not very many centers that take infants in Santa Rosa, and MH is one of them... and in my opinion... the best! All ages are very well cared for and given individual attention. MH was my first choice when I was pregnant with my son, but the waiting list was so long that we had to start somewhere else. He transfered over to MH just after his 2nd birthday. He now just turned 4, and is very excited to be going into the Pre-K class soon. The school is always clean, and teachers are very attentive. Any worry I have I can always call the director, or talk to the teacher at drop off/pick up. It amazes me how much my son learns, and he always surprises me with what he is learning. The only thing I would love to see more of is a better variety of lunch food, especially veggies. He always tries new things at school, when all his friends are eating it, but I can't get him to try new things at home. But the meals are still very nutritional, and this minor thing is not enough to downgrade the rating from a 5. My son, husband, and I love MH! I always recommend it when someone asks.
