I know that all these reviews are based on individual experiences and they all have their own merit but my experience with this school has been nothing but positive! My son has been at Mary Law Private School since he was 3 years old. He learned to write his full name in early preschool, read before kindergarten, and is now in 3rd grade and excelling in all subjects including Spanish and Music. I couldn’t be more impressed with the hands on teaching and curriculum. The school might be old and the classes are small, but looks can be deceiving. The teachers and office staff have considerable years of experience and provide a safe, bully free, learning environment for all their students. Not to mention, their flexible childcare and cost is impossible to beat, especially for a single mom. The most important thing to me as a single parent is to know that when I drop my son off at school he is in safe hands. Mary Law is like a second family and I have no doubt that they care and watch out for the well-being of their students every day. They know all the students by name and most of the parents. I guess the only downside, to balance this review, is the repetition of studies and grueling homework. To be fair though, the students certainly won’t lack in knowledge and will have a much better understanding of the demands of future grades and expectations.

I am a past student in this school. I enrolled in 2011 when I was in 1st grade. I am now in 7th grade and my opinion still hasn't changed. It was so boring. We didn't even learn anything. That's all we did was go through packets without any help. The teacher was so mean. Whenever we would cry (even if we were hurt,) the teacher would call us a crybaby and say that we belonged in kindergarten. She would also make fun of this one girl that wasn't the brightest about grammar and spelling. I remember one day, we were working on vocab and the teacher was helping her with it (Once in a lifetime) and whenever the kid would get something wrong, Ms. R (I'll call her that from now on) would say it to the class like "She thinks oil is toilet!" and the class would laugh. She did this every single damn day and I hated it. And I hated how whenever she took attendance, we would have to say "Good morning, Ms. R." and whenever we left, we would have to shake her hand. Some days when I left, she would be holding a pen and the ink would get on me. Enough about the teacher, lets actually talk about the school. The hygiene is HORRIBLE. The boys' bathroom would always be open, and the girls' bathroom was always dirty. The kids didn't even know how to flush. THE STALLS DIDN'T EVEN HAVE DOORS. THERE WAS ALSO A TOILET JUST OUT IN THE OPEN, WITHOUT ANY STALL NEXT TO THE SINK SO AT ANY MOMENT, YOU COULD WALK IN ON A STUDENT TAKING A FAT DUMP. I wish my mom called the heath department on the school. That's all you had to play was kickball. Every recess, Every lunch, Every time before school. No matter what. Oh and every time you did something "bad," we would have to write, "I will be good" for a specific amount of times. If you got one strike, you would have to write it 25 times. 2, 50 times, 3, 75 times, and so on. I never learned my lesson. I didn't want to. Also the principal was never there. He was there once in a blue moon. Anyway I'm done ranting. Don't take your kid to this school. It's horrible.

If you are looking for good education this is NOT the place to go. You will be paying for teachers that have 0 patients and no interest in bettering your child's future. I had to question the educational background of the teachers that teach at this school- hands down worst experience ever. My child's self-esteem and self worth was destroyed by this school ad their teaching staff.

I would NOT recommend this school to anyone. The font desk staff (Mika Mercado) was VERY rude about concerned parents calling in to check on their children. I was basically told to stop calling and bothering when I had only called once that day and once the day prior only (because it was only my daughters first day of preschool) and I had information to give to the teacher about my daughter. I was also told I could make payment during end of the week but received a phone call during work hours basically forcing me to get off work to immediately make a payment or my child will need to pick up and get dropped out of school that day even after we discussed and agreed that I could make the payment at the end of the week ensuring me that it wasn't going to be a problem. Also when I arrived to pick up my daughter early from school I walked in on my daughter crying very badly while the teachers were just ignoring her and never gave me a straight answer to why she started crying like that. My experience showed me that this school doesn't care about the children's well being and more about money. I'm glad I learned from my mistake and would never take my daughter there again. Thankfully my daughter is now enrolled at a CLEAN Christian school with friendly, understanding and helpful staff that genuinely care for their students!

This School is ok, Teachers are also ok, It needs improvement and bilingual classes. Public Schools have that option and you do not have to pay. This one is private, you pay and the options are very minimal. Look into other schools if you are wanting your kids to do bilingual classes.
