Welcome to the annual update of my review of the Primary Plus Amber School! Our son is now in his third year at the Amber campus (he's in third grade), and our daughter is in her first year there (she's in first grade). Two kids at the same school--woo hoo!! Our kids have been in the Action Day Primary Plus program since they were just nine months old, and we continue to be so very happy with the care and education they receive from their teachers and the staff. Our son is in the middle of another great year at the Amber School. His teacher, Ms. Antoine, is gentle and warm and awesome and has been such a great match for Dylan's skills and personality. She continues to push him and challenge him, which can be tough but he doesn't give up. In fact, he just was given the "perseverance" award and it showed us as parents that Ms. Antoine is focused on moving our son's skills forward, while recognizing that he is working hard no matter what. Ms. Antoine has provided us with multiple resources for the subjects Dylan struggles with, setting up easy access for him that we can work on from home. We are so grateful for the care and time she gives to our son and each of her students. Our daughter is in the middle of her first year at the Amber School, and has the same teacher our son had in first grade, Mr. Martin. Adjusting to a new school was tough for Kylie, but Mr. Martin has been so patient and helpful with her. She has a strong and emotional personality which is challenging, but Mr. Martin is a rock star and works with us so that we can find her best path to success. Our parent-teacher conference was extremely helpful with Mr. Martin, as we weren't aware of some of Kylie's behaviors and struggles during school. He gave us some great advice and resources and she has responded to all of it extremely well and has found her happy space in school. Both of our kids stay after school for the extended-day program, which is an absolute lifesaver for working parents. This is where the kids complete their homework during the study hall period, and can attend their dance classes or camps like the chess or Lego ones. Our son also has his practices for soccer, football, and baseball at school, so it's basically one-stop-shopping for everything our kids need in the afternoons. The teachers who stay in the afternoons with the kids are all awesome, and are helpful, patient, and caring. Thanks for reading, and I hope this review helped show how wonderful the Primary Plus Amber School really is!

Our family LOVES this school! Our children are both so very happy here. Our preschooler hugs his teachers every morning and has to hug them and all of his friends goodbye before he leaves. His little face lights up whenever we mention his school. The other thing I love is the community feel of Primary Plus. Our kids (our oldest is in Kindergarten) know EVERYONE on campus! It takes me a half hour to drag them out of school! They each have to say goodbye to all the teachers and stop in the office to say goodbye and hug Ms. Jerri and Ms. O'Hara, and all the rest of the office gals. As a parent that is a completely irreplaceable feeling...knowing and seeing just how happy our kids are at their school. The teachers and staff at PP really take the education and well being of all their kiddos personally. Ms. Rodriguez has worked tirelessly with our daughter to ensure that she overcame some challenges that she had at the beginning of the school year. She has absolutely soared this year! She adores her tutoring time once a week and her extra activities like science camp and her art classes. I am beyond pleased that we chose PP! I can't imagine our kids anywhere else.

Unfortunately public school and the after school programs connected with them were not the right fit for our family. Our relationship with Action Day Primary Plus started at the El Quito campus when our LO went there for pre-school. Primary Plus Elementary School is THE place for us. From small class sizes, Spanish and music once a week plus all the other great after school programs, we would not want to be anywhere else. The staff and teachers care about our child and the education she is getting. Also the parent TEAM is wonderful! Made of parent and staff volunteers, they work together to strengthen the community by planning great events and enhance the learning for our students. Go TEAM!
