Our family has been at Carden for going on seven years, my kids are very happy. I like the balance between academics and humanities. Homework is reasonable and meant to reinforce work they have done throughout the day.

I am a sixth grader at Carden Day School. Its been a wonderful 5 years there. Not only is the curriculum great, we also get to bond with everybody more due to the class size. Our class sizes are not that big which gives the teacher a chance to bond and help students more. They also have a very unique and helpful curiculum. Carden has helped me so much! Over the years I have learned great things, and created friends for life.

My child will be graduating from 8th grade this year. She started in the Carden system in Kindergarten and has been at this Carden since it started in her 2nd grade. In the Standford Achievement Test, which is taken by students at private schools nationwide, she achieved Post-High School level in all categories except one where she scored at 12th grade level. This was at the end of 7th grade. This year the courses are French II (high school French II), Latin III, Geometry (completed Algebra I in 7th grade), Science, History, Civics, Science, Computers - Java programming, English (literature, composition, spelling, grammar), Art, Music, PE. Students at Carden Day receive an extra day a week of instruction compared to students in public schools based upon having a longer school day. They learn very early how to plan and organize and work effectively and efficiently. The staff is encouraging and kind. There is great diversity. The class sizes are small. The students go to great week-long science camps in different locations once each year during middle school. (All grades have a variety of educational field trips.) This school gives students tremendous academic and life skills foundations for either a science or liberal arts education. Everything builds and blends beautifully.
