Terrific school. We have gone for five years. No evidence of bullying. Issues handled very quickly and professionally. Lots of care for children. Our kids are ahead of their friends at other schools in almost all cases. You won't find a better principle in the Bay Area. She is fantastic!

MERRYHILL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL... BULLY’S ALLOWED My child went to this school for years, it wasn't till the last year and half or so is when we found out our child was being bullied. When we found out we notified the Principal (who is a joke) and that prompted a conference. When asked for a meeting with the parents to discuss what was taking place, the principal advised it was against school policy to meet with the families. The principal also said...I will not give a description of our meeting to any of the other parents Its important not to make anyone feel uncomfortable (so another words who cares about the child who was being bullied) Since the Bulling in the Principal eyes was not considered Bulling she basically swept it under the rug and told us what she is suppose to tell us but did NOTHING ABOUT. So the kids that where bulling my child had no consequences for their action. This has been a NIGHTMARE to our whole family and traumatizing to our child . We decided to pull our child out of this school and move her to another school in the middle of 5th grade. I STRONGLY suggest you do NOT send your child/children to this school and please spread the word.

Very good school with nice staff and comprehensive curriculum

I have a daughter that attends this school. She knows her ABC, can count to 10, and knows her colors at 20 months. Teachers are great, staff is great. Overall she is learning a lot and I am happy. A little expensive but well worth it. A classroom setting is better to me then all day play you get at most places. Best of all they will soon have potty training in the 1-2 year old room. My only gripe is because of a teacher being late in the AM they were over ratio a few times, but it was corrected immediately, and my daughter had a bad diaper rash a few times. If not for these two things I would give them five stars!

I have two kids attending Merryhill. My older one graduated few years back and went to the public middle school. Ever since, she exceeds in each and every subject. She is an outstanding student and great athlete. Her confidence and self-esteem are the reason she has been accepted into several private and public high schools. Younger one has been part of the Merryhill family since preschool. He loves this school and his teachers. He learns a lot new things and shares them with us on various occasions. We feel like we are a part of the Merryhill family not just a family that happens to attend this school. PTA does wonderful job organizing events that are dedicated to children and their families. Principal’s doors are always open and I know that she is a “mom” for my children 8 hours a day. Education and lifetime experience my children gained are priceless and compare to the other private schools in the area not the most expensive.
