My Son is thriving at this school. I know it is not perfect but he finally feels like he can be successful.

Mar 9, 2017
I went to an interview this morning. Scheduled for 10am, however I arrived at 9:30am. I was greeted by an older lady (I'm 25) by the name of Bridgette I believe. She was very outspoken & sweet, which I like in a work setting. She gave me an application which I completed in a separate room and then the wait began. I witnessed a lot of chaos happening as I was there. I didn't properly research the school before arriving, but I now know what it means to have experience with "developmentally delayed and/or at risk youth". Either that or the job description was misleading. I was expecting something a bit different. From what I saw, the students there are middle/high school age level. About 1hr into my wait time, a sheriff or police officer walked in. Marc Wolfe who was in the middle of an interview session then had to leave and talk to this officer. From where I was sitting I could hear students yelling from inside the walls. It didn't bother me much because I figured these children have some sort of issues. The campus director whose name I don't remember came and sat with me for a good 60seconds. Briefly/vaguely explaining what was going on and assuring me it doesn't always happen. However, that conversation was cut short by the officer who was now ready to make an arrest. Another 10-15mins later it was my turn to interview. As I'm walking in the office a student storms out of one of the back rooms yelling and cursing and putting on a scene. It was definitely a sight to see. Still in my mind I thought this is ok, this is what it meant by "at risk youth". My interview lasted no more than 5mins. Although I would have loved the experience, I definitely know my worth. $10.50/hr just won't cut it for me. So I declined and left. I really want to say that all the staff there seemed nice, although it seemed to be an overwhelmingly stressful morning, I applaud them for keeping calm and remaining professional. What I look for in a job is: 1. Stability 2. Opportunity for Growth 3. Positive atmosphere 4. Good pay 5. Great benefits I don't usually write reviews, but I know how helpful they are when I am researching something. Ultimately if it met my standards I definitely would have given them the chance. It seems like a very stressful environment, so if you don't mind a challenge then you should apply! They definitely look like they need the help.

I was a student back in the early 90s and I was molested by several staff members. Beaten to a pulp by their administration a man names jack lombraso, I was kicked, punched, dragged by a belt tied around my neck like a noose. I was even bitten by a teacher and told that they could kill me and that no one would miss me and they could do what ever they wanted. I was scared to go to school. I can remember other students who got it worse than me. Do not send your kids here.

I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL This school is deplorable. Even the staff treat the students like crap. My child goes to Somerset and is being constantly bullied by his BUS DRIVER. When it was reported to the principle, NOTHING WAS DONE ABOUT IT. And this van driver (her name will be withheld for the time being), after being reported, she made sure to pick on my child as soon as she saw him again, including calling him the "N-WORD" and stealing his mp3 player so he couldn't ignore her picking on him. I AM OUTRAGED! And I will post this review anywhere I can until something is done about this problem. If the principle won't fix the problem, then I will by reviewing the problem until somebody listens.

With reviews like these and the behavior I've seen with the kids and few staff, if this isn't being looked into at least, in surprised this place is still running....
